I have bought these in multiple sizes
This is a great product for a fair price. I have bought these in multiple calibers and gauges for use in my NRA Basic firearms classes. It is much easier and safer for a student who has never handled a firearm before to learn basic safety when loading and dry firing a firearm by using the 'dummy' ammunition. These look exactly like real ammunition except for the bright orange tips that mark them as 'safe'. Knowing they cannot hurt themselves or others by making a mistake enables the student to focus on the mechanics of loading, firing, clearing a misfire or jam.In this day and age many people are buying firearms because of uncertainty of what Washington is going to do next or as protection in case of a zombie outbreak. If you are a new shooter, please consider taking a NRA Certified Basic course with the firearm you purchase. Your instructor will probably have these 'dummy' rounds. If you do not take a coourse, buy these in your caliber and practice the mechanics of handling the firearm. Then go to a range and practice until you can consistently hit your targets while shooting in a safe manner. If the first time you ever attempt to load and fire you new gun is a life threatening emergency you have probably wasted however much money you spent on the gun. These dummy rounds are a great buy!

Good for dummy rounds NOT for dry firing
The description states that they are not for dry firing, so this one was on me. I read another reviewer that said how they were great for it, so I thought they might work after all. They don't. Still all in all great for use in training and loading/ unloading exercises.

Like real bullets only easy to see they're dummies
I practice with these in my new Ruger LCR .38 revolver all the time. They "feel" and look like real cartridges, but it's easy to see from the orange bullet and firing pin color that they are the practice ammo. Good to intersperse with real ammo at the range to help train against pulling the gun off target. Good investment!
