I have a Honda Element that I don't use much, and consequently the battery is always running low (especially if I forget to put it on the trickle charger). I've been caught a few times where it will act like it's charged and start up the first time, then after I've driven it to my destination, it won't start again when I need to drive back home. So I needed some insurance. I decided to buy this Wolfbox after seeing it tested, with very favorable results, on the Torque Test Channel. Even so, I was skeptical that such a small box could actually start a car engine, when the car's regular battery weighs like 25 lbs (small for a car battery, but still). But I tried it with a "mostly dead" battery (enough that the power locks worked but it chugged maybe 1 time when I tried to start it). It was night time so I turned on the integrated light on the Wolfbox - plenty bright enough and well positioned to see what I needed to do to hook it up. It took less than a minute to hook up, including finagling the hood open - way easier than dealing with jumper cables or the plug-in charger. The green START light lit up and I turned the key and the car started RIGHT up. I was shocked - the starter actually sounded like it had more pep than when using the regular battery to start normally. The best part is that I started with the Wolfbox at 100% charge, and after starting the car, it still read 97% full. I could drive the car around all day making multiple stops not worry about it with one charge on the Wolfbox. Also the included charger charges it super fast - it arrived about 70% charged and was charged to full in less time than my phone usually takes to charge (and it has a way bigger battery inside). Speaking of charging, I also used it to charge my phone using the bidirectional USB C port - kept my phone running at 100% using it as a hotspot for a whole afternoon, and only depleted a couple of percent of the battery. So this product gets an A+ from me. We'll see how the longevity is but it can't be worse than the regular car batteries. Which brings to mind a question - why are we still using lead car batteries when this lithium technology is clearly better AND cheaper?

Our company delivery truck ( a diesel engine by the way} was totally dead. We tried using the newer truck and a fork lift to jump it off... not even a click. I went to my truck and got my Wolfpack and hooked it up. regular jump mode made it click, so I pressed the BOOST button and it fired right on up. Shop supervisor was impressed with it so much, he had me order one for the company. It's small, compact but very strong. a must for anyone that needs a reliable jump pack for thier car or truck.

I love this, my battery wouldn't start hook this up and jumped it in seconds. This will go with me everywhere. Highly impressed.

I charged this overnight and put it in the back of my car with the spare tire. A friend called and said he needed a jump, I connected it and fired up his car in one attempt..6 months later, without topping off the charge, I needed to jump start a friends Ranger and the display was still at 100%. I connected the terminals and the engine started in one attempt with amazing power. The charger brick has a USB-C charge output that will fast charge any device that can accept the full fast charge current. It will take my phone (5000mAHr battery) from dead (<5% charge) to nearly full (~80%) in about 15 min with some warming in the device being charged. I am impressed.

The WOLFBOX 4000A Jump Starter is a great piece of equipment to keep on hand. It has plenty of power, is simple to use, and feels well made. I really like having a portable jump starter instead of needing another vehicle and jumper cables when a battery is dead. It’s compact enough to keep in a vehicle without taking up much room and is ready to go when you need it. Definitely worth having for emergencies. Highly recommend!

I have a Nissan Altima 2016 which I purchased as a second vehicle to preserve miles on my truck. I purchased the Wolfbox just in case the battery died so I wouldn't be stuck somewhere although I have Roadside Assistance I could take care of it myself. I parked and went into a convenience store came out and my car wouldn't start. I said to myself good thing I bought that Wolfbox. I connect it to my battery and wait about 10 minutes. The car attempted to turn over but fell dead again. I was disappointed so I called my roadside assistance. The WolfBox was still connected when he got there but my car still wouldn't start. The Roadside guy had his own box. I said well let's try yours. He connected it and told me to try and start it without waiting any period of time and my car started right away. My Wolfbox is useless to me since it won't start my car. There is no way this is a 4000A charger. That's impossible that it wouldn't start a reg car. Wolfbox did reach out to me about my trouble with the charger. They offered a replacement at no charge. I had to purchase a new battery for my car so i'm not when I would be able to test it out. Waiting for delivery and will update when I try it out. UPDATE I had originally gave this one star for the above reasons. I also have a 2021 Wrangler High Altitude and I hadn't replaced my battery and of course it wouldn't start. I remembered that Wolfbox sent me a replacement charger so I had the perfect opportunity to try it. I connected the cables after being sure it was charged 100%. I immediately tried to start the truck and nothing. It has a boost button so I pressed that and tried again. The truck started right up. I don't know if it just needed to be connected a little longer or whether it was the boost. Either way it did start my truck. Wolfbox had said it was possible I had a faulty unit and it appears that may have been the case. The new unit they sent does work for my truck so I am pretty sure it will for the car also. Their customer service was attentive and prompt when the first one didn't work so I am changing my one star to 4 stars only because I had to get a replacement and the inconvenience of the first one not working for my car.

This jump starter has already saved me on several occasions and the lithium ion factor is a pleasant upgrade from a heavy, lead-acid type of charger. The built in light is a nice feature as is the carrying case, which fits the charger and cable well. It also charges rather fast. This unit is well worth the money. I totally recommend it.
