I did a bunch of research on the red-light masks, hard shell vs soft. Soft was the most promoted choice because the lights get more contact with your faces curves. So, that's why I bought this one. Now, as for why I kept it, 3 months later, my husband and I both use this pretty much nightly. Red light, 15-minute setting. There is a noticeable difference in my skin! After the second month I did notice smoother, tighter skin and WAY less breakouts. The ask is soft, comfortable and so far, NO lights have gone out. Again, I use it nightly for 3 months and it's still going strong. The charge lasts for both of us at 15-min each. It's easy to clean also. I take this on trips, and it packs well, seems durable (within reason). I bought the white mask. Overall great purchase and is effective!

NO CORDS WHILE USING! * I’m disappointed that there are no LEDs over the upper lip. How will I treat fine lines there if there are no LEDs? * I’m disappointed that the lights do not cycle through settings. - Read what the settings are meant to do, pick your setting, and that’s your treatment. - Want to use another setting? You need to do another session. * Because I’m older - not a teenager - my favorites are M1 anti-aging & collagen, M3 smooth wrinkles and fine lines, and M7 brighten skin tone. * Mask gets comfortably warm. Not hot. * I haven’t used this long enough to notice a difference on my complexion. Originally purchased more to put healing red lights on my knees and reduce pain and inflammation. However, the wavelengths on this mask are more specific to facial skin health and beauty.
