Can you use this on a one piece fiberglass molded tub/shower unit ?

Yes, I did. Mine was a one piece fiberglass tub and shower. A sawsall with a new blade cut the tub like butter. Be sure you have a vacuum for the dust handy.

Tub has Wider across top 7 inch rail can this kit be retro fitted?

If your tub rail exceeds 6" at the top, unfortunately this product will not fit your tub.

Will this work on jaquzzi tub that meets side width specs but has side access panel. Ok to disable jaquzzi port functionality, because it is not used.

Check with manufacturer about that, but as long as it can seal properly around the inside edge it should be fine.

we converted back to a tub for a bath and it leaks. How can we fix this?

If the leak is with the slide-in side panel, make sure you have tightened the big knobs at the top securely. Otherwise, you might need to re- redo the caulking. I ordered a second tube of caulk from the manufacturer. It is difficult to caulk the bottom edge and I did this several times.
