No issues. WONDERFULL. Mild, fresh flavor.
WONDERFULL! How I got it out from the jar: Skimmed 1st the fat to bowl... then, using long knife garved a hole to the center, and removed chunks of coconut pulp to another bowl.... once the hole was all the way to the bottom emty, I cut sections, around the void... removing chunks section at time... ( after that extra step, that was my own convinience: I muddled the puld through the strainer, resulting even consistency for easy incorporating with fat)... next [ Baine Marie] added warm, NOT, hot water to a pot, inserted the bowl with fat inside, on the counter ( not stove top needed)... the fat begun meltting immediatelly. Ensuring, that water stayed warm, changing the water as needed to warmer, I melted all fat... then begun adding the muddled coconut bulb to the meltted fat, geltly stirring with silicon spatula... continnuing keeping the water warm, as needed... this resulted smooth, evenly incorporated coconut butter, which tastes great! I made test batch organic, sugar free Truffles. I am not familliar with this brand= 1st time user, which for I kept the test batch small. I am absolutely satisfied with the result! I can use this coconut butter, just like any brand, that I have used in the past. Taste is mild and fresh. The lid had broken in the delivery. Seal was not compromized. And the plastic jar was also inside a shrink wrap. Better packaging, would had helped.

This is perfect once it is re-mixed.
Once remixed, this product is superb. Excellent flavor, texture etc. This product has so many incredible uses. We love coconut and use this in cooking, drink mixes like pina coladas and desserts. The hard part: You have your work cut out for you since this product apparently got hot for a long enough period that ALL the coconut powdered solids fell to the bottom of the product and hardened. I don't even know if it is possible to get this product without this happening since it likely ships from overseas where temps can be quite warm. The shipping container as well as time it takes to get pulled and put into a warehouse are also factors. Additionally, warehouse storage could be warm. Then delivery to your home in the summer it could be warm. In any event, BE PREPARED for a long reconstitution period and hopefully you also have someone nearby to help you when you get tired of trying to re-mix this. I did this all manually with a wooden spoon and my wife and I took turns stirring this for over 2 hours to get this back to perfection. We started by making sure the contents were good and warm. Once we mixed it to zero lumps/clumps, we moved the pail into a large bowl and surrounded it with ice. We stirred it constantly, making sure not to get any ice/water in it while re-adding ice around it as it melted. Finally, we got it to a solidified state. This ensures a smooth consistency and it will hold once it fully comes down to 75f. The stirring toward the end, as it starts to set up firmer becomes quite a workout.

Great price for quality coconut butter!
I love this larger size! I have been purchasing the smaller one, but this larger size is such a great price! This coconut butter is smooth and creamy, melts easily in my coffee, tastes fantastic, and has such great health benefits. The container is strongly sealed and has a screw top lid to ensure freshness. The coconut oil and manna may separate a little bit, with the oil rising to top, so I just shake really well upon arrival (I live in FL, so itโs almost always liquid when delivered) and it stays well mixed once it solidifies again. I use it in my coffee every morning, and in the occasional batch of pina coladaโsโฆso yummy, and so much better for you than chemical laden pina colada premix!

Yummy!
I love this coconut butter. It tastes very good. The only down side is it needs to be melted every morning or when you need it to use it daily. Otherwise it's a tasty product.

I Literally Came Here to Find Out How to OPEN This Thing!
You want to catch a glimpse of your emotional status? JUST TRY OPENING THIS THING! I was not prepared for the windfall! It is literally the hardest thing I believe I have ever attempted to open in my entire life. And that is because I could not make cotton-pickin' heads or tails out of the "instructions" embossed on the lid. (Good luck figuring *those* out.) I wasn't kidding when I indicated that I came here to ask "Rufus" how to open a plastic tub. ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ Let me give you a shortcut: Turn the thing upside down on a counter. Look for the little squares under the lid and snip into those from the outside edge with a strong pair of scissors. (Not one of your favorite pairsโso that you don't wind up ruining them like I did. Literally.) I mean, it just did not have to be this difficult. It would make more sense to just sell it in a paint can. ๐ All that said, I finally ordered the larger size. (I gave a review on the 3.5 lbs.) I typically only ever give one- or five-star reviews (because I rarely read the others myself)....so, five it is because of the product. I would do a โ10 on the lid. Some reviewers have complained about the unbelievable amount of oil atop the butter. The butter was all creamy white and there did not look to be so much as 1/4 of an inch of coconut oil across the entire top. So, what is that? Some 98% of coconut butter and scarcely 2% of oil. As far as the expiration date, I bought mine in April of 2025. It expires in April 2026. I likely won't have this stuff 6 months. Now that I got the lousy lid figured out, I'll be buying more! ๐ฅด

Delicious! The trick to the separation is simpleโฆ
Delicious alternative to refined sugar. I havenโt had ultra-processed sweets nor cane sugar or honey this year and am attempting to limit even natural foods that can spike oneโs blood sugar. In my quest to find โdessertโ foods, I stumbled upon this coconut butter and, wow, am I blown away. Simple solution to the separation: Melt it with the jar lying horizontallyโฆ.duhโฆlol. Then let it FULLY COOL horizontally as well. This way, you donโt have to worry about it separating into an upper/lower half again, itโll cool in a way that once you turn the jar upright, youโll have the oil on one side and the flesh on the other. Just be sure the lid is on tightly and put it in a sealed baggie before immersing it to avoid any contact with water. Once itโs like this, you can use a paring knife (careful!) to carve out cubes and then only melt what you need rather than having to melt the whole jar each time and risk degradation.

One Word: YUMMMMM!!
Well, I saw the negative reviews on other sizes of this product and decided to take a stab and go for it, anyway. (But due to the negative reviews on the larger size, I went with this one.) Let me just say I agree with the good reviews: it is absolutely DELICIOUS, and I cannot stop eating this stuff! (Yes, straight out of the jar. Mason jar, that isโbecause that's what I transferred it to.) It arrived with all of the oil (not liquid) on top and a much firmer butter underneath. It will take some time and effort getting all of this out of the plastic container, but I recommend transferring it to a saucepan and letting it all melt on very low heat (just warm enough to actually melt it). Then, I recommend an immersion blender to fully incorporate the oil with the butter (could use a whisk, I supposeโbut I'm extra like that. LOL) Finally, I poured this into 2 quart-size Mason jars. Coconut butter is said to be stable for months outside of the refrigerator. Nevertheless, I put the fuller jar into the refrigerator for longevity and have left the lesser jar out. It's perfect in the cabinet. (Mostly because I can access it quickly and eat it immediately, LOL.) I avoided the larger size of 8 lbs. because of the negative reviews. It might be worth trying out, after all. But this one's been great! I'll be ordering more! (And might even take my chance on the 8โpounder to save money.) Come to think of it, the 8-lb. product might be sitting in a warehouse longer because most people probably are not inclined to buy so much at one time. (Shrug)

Not buttery
I buy cocoa butter to use in soap but this was not useable so thought it might be useable as a baking product. Its texture was coarse and not buttery. It reminds me of when I add corn starch to butters for whipping. Today I will dump in garbage.

Flavour is great
I have bought this product twice. I really like it, and use it in a special cookie recipe, and other baking recipes. It is a little hard to open the container, but my husband figured that out. I warm the amount I need over some warm water, so that I can stir it. The flavour is worth the effort!

shaking my head... Not that impressed!
Not a huge fan of this size jar because half of it was indeed coconut oil while the rest of it looked like white clay...mind you it states coconut butter so maybe that's what coconut butter tastes like. Not sold. Price wasn't worth it either. At your own risk

Good Value
This product has a great flavor, and is very reasonably priced. I removed the lid, then placed the pail in the oven, and set temperature at 175 F. and left it in there for 2 hours, then removed it, and vigorously stirred & mixed it with a large wooden spoon, & then poured it into 8 jars. I highly recommend this product !
