Awesome crossbow
My 8yo son is shooting out to 90 yards accurately. Great bow

Was loving it....until I got into my stand
I just ordered and recieved my new revx. Unboxed it today, read through the instructions and watched the vids. Sighted in the bow, super excited to get into my stand today bc I was nailing the bullseye at 50 yards. Climbed into my stand, cooked the bow, went to put the bolt in and bam! It was a loud crack. Took the arrow out for safety and started assessing the bow. The stick on buffer had flown off, the string was damaged, seemed the fdl wasn't catching the middle draw of the string it was off to the left (which damaged the string, and the left side of the bow looked compressed while the right side of the bow was not. I decompressed the bow to inspect it safely and saw the split of the left limb. 1st minute in the stand and there goes my hunting experience, depending on how long this might take my season. For the record, it wasn't overcranked. I followed the instructions to a T. Cranked only until it locked, then 3 uncrank turns.

350gr arrows too light
Physics matters. Excalibur rates this bow to 400fps with 350gr arrows. Good way to blow up limbs! This bow is a superb machine with 600gr arrows and much quieter. Excalibur marketed this bow incorrectly, which many bow manufacturers do, and all xbows really shine with heavy arrows. Search for the Ashby foundation or the Ranch Fairy on YouTube to get the real dope on light vs heavy arrows. It's science!
