I have been using some non-stick pans I got at Costco a decade ago, and they are definitely past the point of non stick anymore. I got them because they said they were dishwasher safe - and I made the mistake of running them through the dishwasher too many times. I jumped at getting some updated pans, as while my old ones weren't peeling or anything, I feel like the tech has come a long way in a decade. I have cooked with this new set several times, and I am quite impressed. They are considerably heavier than my old set, and while aluminum, the steel bottom is nice because it evens out the heat like my cast iron pan, but without all the extra work needed.I think some people think non-stick = no need for oil. I find using a little goes a long way, and gets you far better results. A bit of olive oil and I had fried egg sliding around like a slip and slide. I did notice that it takes some time for the pans to heat up (due to the stainless steel bottom), and so things may initially appear to stick. Once it's up to temperature, stuff with unstick (or just be patient and wait until the pan is truly hot). Kind of reminds me of a well seasoned cast iron pan. Also it's nice that the outside is the same material, so if some sauce escapes it won't instantly burn on the outside of the pan. They may be dishwasher safe, but they clean so easily I am not taking any chances.The spread of pots and pans in this set is nice. I wish there was one larger skillet, but the wider, smaller stock pot could serve that purpose. I do particularly like the larger stock pot since it's deep enough to cook a large batch of pasta without the water foaming over. The lids are nice too, much lighter weight than glass, and now I don't have to worry about breaking them (plus you could never actually see inside due to condensation so its silly to think you need clear lids). The steamer basket is nice as well, now I don't have to wing it with a metal strainer in a pot and the lid hanging off. Overall I am very pleased with this new set and I plan to keep them in tip top shape. Plus, the black on black looks nice with my black stove.

The media could not be loaded.  It seems inevitable that over time your cookware becomes a hodgepodge of pots and pans, and random lids don’t seem to match anything. I finally decided to look for a better matching set and pitch the old scratched up ‘cheapware’ that was long overdue to be replaced. Good quality and toxin-free were my two main priorities, as well as a set that was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. When coming across this cookware it seems to meet exactly what I was looking for.To start, this set is heavy duty. It’s solid, durable and no question in my mind as to its exceptional quality. I also really appreciate that the lids match the cookware and won’t get easily confused with other glass type lids that seem to mix in with everything else. It’s unique and the black color really stands out (my set is the Black Coffee). What also drew me to this particular product was the variation and sizes of the pots, pans and skillets that came in the set. It comes with a 1.5, 2 and 3 qt. saucepan, 5 and 8 qt. stock pot, 7.5 qt. steamer basket and an 8” and 10” fry pan. And, there is a lid included for every piece. I would say that 99% of the time these would meet my needs when cooking.What’s most important for me are the toxin and chemical free properties. This particular product states it has a HEALTHY DURALON BLUE COATING, which is an eco-friendly, ultra-non-stick all-natural ceramic coating free of harmful chemicals like PTFE, PFOA, lead, and cadmium and other toxic materials that can leach into your food. As I started cooking with the product I can tell the material isn’t like your typical non-stick teflon pan, where a coating easily would wear away over time. These are solid, thick and made of ceramic material that I can feel confident cooking with. It also heats evenly and I can attest to its statement of being non-stick. I like that the handles are heavy-duty and solid and from how they are constructed, I don’t believe they can loosen like many of the handles that are attached with a screw.I couldn’t be happier with this product. It meets all of my criteria and exceeds expectations. I have no doubt this will be long lasting cookware and I can cook without worries of harmful chemicals and toxins. They add a nice aesthetic to the kitchen and absolutely deserve a solid five star rating!

I cook on an induction cooktop, so I have to make sure I get induction-ready pans. This set works as described. They heat up quickly and evenly. The ceramic non-stick coating cleans up flawlessly. It recommends storing them on a pot rack, so they don't scratch each other, but I don't have one so I have to stack mine. They do nest together well, so they don't take up as much storage space, which is a huge plus! I was surprised that the metal handles can stay cool while cooking with them. They seem durable and have a good weight to them. Not nearly as heavy as a Caraway, but they aren't priced at that price point either. This set comes with a great variety of sizes. I do wish one of the saucepans was a little larger, and that the lids were glass so I could see inside. Those are the only negatives I can think of. Overall, I'm very pleased with this NuWave pan set!
