Q: Can this fit inside a standard US carry-on?

Yes it will fit in a standard carry on but it won’t leave much room for anything else. It will take up about 1/3 of a standard size carry on.

Q: can you wash this bag?

I wouldn’t throw it in the washing machine but I would wash it by hand.

Q: Love this brand! Does this bag have a shoulder strap? Love the design but would need a shoulder strap.

No unfortunately it does not have a shoulder strap.

Q: Will it hold a normal full sized shampoo bottle?

It holds my full size shampoo, conditioner, hairspray and tons more. I love it. It fits in my suitcase or carry it on its own. I hang it in the bathroom when I travel. Everything I need in one place, and I can keep it all in the tote instead of cluttering up a hotel bathroom. Toiletries, makeup, jewelry, medicines, etc. Definitely one of my favorite travel bags.
