They were packed like I've never seen before! No need to worry about a dish being broke, surrounded by a tough sponge foam like material and it's in between each dish also. Dinnerware is made nicely and looks great. I'm very happy with my purchase

I loved this set UNTIL two of the bowls got destroyed in the dishwasher even though they are dishwasher safe!!

I absolutely fell in love with this set as soon as I opened the box. I ordered several additional pieces to accompany the dinnerware sets. The dishes are nice and thick, a good weight, with a beautiful pattern. Though the plates, both dinner and salad, are a little on the smaller side, I do not mind as I am conscious about portion sizes and it looks like more food when the plates are small. The pieces are affordable and work perfectly as intended. HOWEVER!! I was microwaving a yam for dinner and heard a loud sort of bang. I figured it was the rotating thingy resetting into the track as it sometimes does when misaligned. A few seconds later, I heard another similar sound and a sort of dragging sound. I ran over and stopped the microwave immediately. When I opened the door, to my surprise, a piece of the plate was sitting off the rotating glass thing and off to the side of the microwave!!! Upon further inspection, I saw that the remaining portion of the plate was split in two!! The microwave had been running for 3 minutes and 16 seconds when this happened. I am so sad that my perfect set is now down a piece and no longer trust the “microwave safe” indications. Thankfully, it did not damage the microwave, but I won’t be putting any more of these dishes in there.

As someone with a more modern/contemporary aesthetic, I was a bit surprised at how much I liked this set and its embossed patterns…they have a vintage appeal while still looking elevated and modern. They also look and feel of good quality. Already having a large amount of dinnerware pieces I can’t say that I totally ‘needed’ another set, but I’m glad nonetheless to have gotten this Le Tauci “Joanna” set. I most love the pasta bowls…great size and depth, good weight and comfortable to handle, we’ve already enjoyed some pasta dishes using these bowls. The 16 piece “Joanna” set comes with service for 4 containing glazed ceramic 10” dinner plates, 8” salad plates, 6” soup bowls, and 8” pasta bowls. The patterns vary by dish but blend so nicely together as a set. The cream/taupe shades have a great look. What’s also nice is that this “Joanna” design is an entire series with many other pieces available to expand your set if desired (like coffee mugs, ramekins, pie pans, soup bowls with handles, etc.). The set arrived packaged very well with proper cushioning to prevent breakage. And we’ve had no issues with them cracking or chipping, we wash them in the dishwasher, no hand washing. We do handle them with care when stacking/nesting the dishes in the cabinets, mainly as general precaution and what we do with all of our dinnerware. This is a quality set for the price and worth it in my view. It meshes well with my other pieces and we’re really enjoying them; we hope they last for years to come.

Placed in dishwasher but broke within 1st cycle. Unsure if it’s really dishwasher safe! Very elegant design but fragile!
