This is the best drink of its kind. It is so good that I went out of my way to write an Amazon review for the first time. If you don't feel like reading the rest of my review, know that Pocari Sweat is by far the most hydrating, well-formulated, and best-tasting electrolyte drink on the market, especially if you have POTS or any other medical condition that depends on you consuming high amounts of salt/electrolytes and water in order to not feel like trash. Flavor: - Grapefruit/yuzu-ish/citrus flavor. It basically tastes like lightly sweetened citrus water. I usually avoid anything grapefruit flavored, but this is mild enough for the grapefruit to not only not bother me but to actually taste amazing. However, I will warn you that I was caught off guard the first time I tried it. That first sip surprised me because it has a slight grapefruit/yuzu bitterness, which is a flavor I usually hate. But just give it a chance by taking a few more sips, and I promise you will end up loving it. The effectiveness of Pocari Sweat is also part of why I love the taste so much; I know that as soon as that taste enters my mouth, I will be more hydrated and feel much better momentarily. - It is NOT salty at all! Most electrolyte drinks taste like the ocean, which I cannot handle. But unlike those drinks, the citrus flavor in this ensures that you do not taste any saltiness. - It has a mild, neutral, inoffensive taste, making it impossible to get sick of the flavor. I find myself getting sick of all drinks after I have been drinking them for a few months, but this is such a mild/neutral flavor that I cannot get sick of it. Hydration/formulation: - For some context, I am chronically thirsty, no matter what. For one, I take a medication that causes dry mouth and an unquenchable thirst. In addition to that, I also have a medical condition (POTS) that is partially treated by a high salt/electrolyte intake and excessive water consumption. Due to my POTS, when I am not overly hydrated, I feel like genuine garbage and struggle to function. Therefore, I am very sensitive to the effects of dehydration and can feel it when I have not gotten enough electrolytes. - Very hydrating. There is just something about Pocari Sweat that is so much more effective than anything else I have tried. I feel much more hydrated from 1 serving of Pocari Sweat than I do from 5x the amount of Gatorade or liquid IV (and Pocari tastes 1000x better). Having something like this that can make me feel so hydrated so quickly is incredibly important to me because without it, as I have said, I feel like trash (beyond normal dehydration). Thus, having an option like Pocari Sweat significantly improves my quality of life. I am genuinely so glad I found this. - It contains magnesium! Most sports drinks do not contain magnesium (like Gatorade), even though it is an essential mineral, and most of us (in the US) do not get enough in our diets. Magnesium aids in many vital bodily functions and systems. One more minor thing low magnesium can cause is muscle cramps. Because getting enough magnesium after exercise (and in general) is so important, I appreciate the addition of magnesium in this drink as it makes getting enough magnesium a bit more convenient.

Mix 1 packet of powder with 1 Liter of water. 1 Liter = about 4 and 1/4 cups, or a little more than 1 quart. So, 5 packets in a box will make more than 1 gallon of drink. I shook it in an empty juice bottle that I was about to throw away. I added more water than it instructed because that's my personal preference for powder mixes in general. Pocari Sweat's main ingredients are like Gatorade or Powerade. It has a gentle grapefruit flavor, no caffeine, no artificial sweeteners, no corn syrup, no dyes or food coloring, but no Vitamin C. This is my first time trying it. It tastes really nice to me, not too salty or sweet. I can't speak as well to compare its effectiveness for athletic endurance. (I don't consider glucose artificial. The ingredients list "natural and artificial flavors," if that makes a difference to you, but separately list a higher concentration of "grapefruit powder.") This box has 5 packets. The back of the box says it's developed by Otsuka Pharmaceutical of Japan, manufactured in (product of) South Korea, and distributed in the United States by Crystal Geyser Water in California. In terms of value, these packets of dry powder are likely better for your money than if they were pre-mixed in bottles with water. Then, their weight and shipping prices would be mostly water. Since the ingredients to me are not that different from other hydration sports drinks, I would buy one that's common here in the USA next time instead of importing this all the way from Asia. Pocari is nice to try at least once though.

Great Electrolyte that uses real sugar. Hydration requires Sodium, Potassium and Sugar. I have no idea why most hydration drinks seem to leave out sugar or add stevia etc. I also like that it doesn't have a ton of vitamins added to it- just hydration. My entire family drinks this and they all like the taste. When my family member had to do a colonoscopy prep- I gave them a box of this and they said it made them feel much better during the process then the Gatorade they used before It is kind of pricey, but we'll worth it.

Love the brand. Easy to use and decent value for your money. Tastes about the same when mixed properly. At first I thought it would be too much but worked out. So one pouch is equal to one liter of water. Which makes the perfect size. Just tough to find some bottles that are exactly a liter of water.
