An excellent upgrade from my previous Philips Bodygroom. I'm not sure about some of the negative reviews, but I've been using Philips Bodygroom products for over 15 years and have generally had a very positive experience. In my experience, it doesn't nick or cut the skin unless you're rushing or shaving over areas with bumps, lumps, or uneven skin, particularly around sensitive areas where a little extra care is always advisable. The trimmer provides a very smooth finish and is comfortable to use. It feels well-designed and effective for regular grooming. The battery life has also impressed me. After a full charge, I've used it twice for around 20 minutes each time, and it still hasn't needed recharging. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable body groomer.

Thought I'd try this shaver as a change from the trusty old disposable wet razor and also my old body shaver that sometimes leaves me swearing and running for the plasters. There are mixed reviews on reading and I was sceptical about buying, however, I thought I'd give it a go (us guys do like to keep trim - as they say 'Trim up North' and 'Trim down South'!). After my first try, I am very impressed - shall we say the prickly pears came out a treat. Let's cut to the chase, remember guys, we're not shaving our face here, so you need to go gentle, stretch the skin and go slowly and again be gentle (I really can't emphasise the gentle bit), if you do this then all will be fine, no nicks, no soreness and a result that is as smooth and trim as can be with minimal effort. The body combs are a great addition too, it performed well on the rest of the body, trimming to the desired length with little effort. In short, I am more than happy with this and it does what it is meant to with minimal effort, so highly recommended. A more than capable body shaver.

Had to replace my four year old Philips Bodygroom so bought this. It’s OK but rather noisy and has one serious design fault: the on/off switch is too easily activated while you are shaving as it is situated right where you hold the shaver for use, thus you suddenly find it has switched off when you are reaching those awkward parts!

My old Philips 3000 body groomer finally died so I upgraded to this newly designed 5000 series. It looks modern and everything has been revamped, from combs to cutting head. But does it do the job? Absolutely, there is more power available and the new design means you can get into the awkward nooks and crannies without problems and also without any nicks or cuts. It does an effortless job of deforestation and leaves a tidy, uniform growth depending on your preference for comb size. The 5000 series is only another £10 more than the 3000 series and for your money you get a longer battery life, more combs and a soft plastic pouch to keep everything together, well worth the little bit extra. Over the years I have tried most brands of bodygroomers but Philips always gives me the best results, I would highly recommend this model.

Good enough, not high in quality but it does the job and is good enough for the price

Very good at getting rid of all the little critters in wet and dry from all them sensitive and delicate places with little irritation. Smooth bits everywhere excellent for helping you keep cool and sweet free especially in the recent hot weather.

Expect better from this brand. Uneven cut had to go over the same area multiple time to get the trim. Pulls more hair than it cuts.

It does the job as described with ease.

Ero davvero molto molto titubante.. erano anni che mi radevo il pube e i genitali con un rasoio da barba ed era un disastro.. Nelle spiegazioni di questo rasoio c'è scritto che nn ci si deve aspettare una rasatura come da lametta.. bè secondo è esattamente come da lametta ma senza irritazione.. bisogna leggere le istruzioni e trovare la giusta angolazione per fare lavorare bene la testina (Altrimenti strappa i peli e dopo fa male) e passarci con calma affinchè possa fare il suo lavoro ma il risultato è a dir poco sensazionale e senza nessuna problematica. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!! Ovviamente se si ha il pelo medio lungo, prima va accorciato con i distanziatori di cui il prodotto è fornito, poi fatta la rasatura a pelle.. non rimmarrete delusi, ve lo garantisco!!
