Meat Grinder & Stainless Steel Slicer Shredder Attachment for KitchenAid

These attachments that I bought for my Kitchen Aid mixer are awesome. I have used both the meat grinder and the Stainless Steel Slicer Shredder Attachment in the last few days and they are so easy to use and definitely a time saver. I wished I had bought them much sooner.

The set includes a meat grinder and a handy shredder, which perfectly complement each other and make cooking much easier. We purchased this combo and are very satisfied. The meat grinder handles meat processing excellently, while the shredder allows for quick and even slicing of vegetables. The meat grinder comes with four attachments that allow you to grind meat at different levels—from coarse chopping to fine mince. There are also attachments for homemade sausage making. Although we haven’t used this feature yet, we find it useful and convenient for future experiments. The shredder fully met our expectations. We shredded carrots, beets, cabbage, and other vegetables. The shredder works especially well with cabbage when it’s cut a bit finer. The process is fast and even, which significantly simplifies making salads and other dishes, saving time and effort. The body of the meat grinder and the attachments are made of high-quality metal that is easy to clean and doesn’t rust over time. After use, the device stays clean without unpleasant odors or food residues. Overall, this set is an excellent kitchen helper for home use. We are happy with the purchase and recommend this combo to anyone who wants to simplify and speed up food preparation.

My husband grabbed this for me for Christmas and I’ve been using them way more than I expected! Both pieces slid onto the mixer perfectly and felt sturdy right away. The meat grinder comes with everything you need, and the slicer/shredder makes cheese and veggies go so fast. It really makes the mixer feel like an all-in-one kitchen tool instead of just something I pull out for baking. I really love that I don’t have to get preshredded cheese anymore that’s loaded with chemicals and I can just do it myself! Pros: - Fits the KitchenAid perfectly, no issues - Feels solid and well made - Meat grinds smoothly and evenly - Shreds and slices cheese and veggies super fast - Nice variety of blade sizes Cons: - Most parts need to be hand washed - Cleanup takes a few extra minutes compared to fully dishwasher-safe attachments - The parts are all oddly shaped so it’s a bit of a pain to store Honestly, this is one of those attachments that actually earns its storage space. I love being able to grind my own meat and shred cheese in seconds without dragging out extra appliances. If you cook from scratch or like doing things a little more homemade, this set is such a win. It’s been super handy and feels like it’ll hold up really well over time.

So, this just arrived today. First, I like the housing. I think it's far better than the housing on the KitchenAid original which I've had two, one ten years ago the second I bought last year, and both are cracked in a couple places. But I don't like the fact that the graters have a plastic base attached to a metal "shredder". I fear that it won't last as long as they could, but I'll wait and see on that. However, I didn't exclusively buy it for that hence the better rating. Second, the metal grinding plates aren't a snug fit like the KitchenAid plates. The KitchenAid, plates both the grinding plates and the pasta plates, and the "feeder corkscrew" don't fit this brand housing. So, if this is a motivation for you this would not be a good idea. When I ran this on the KitchenAid it all seemed to work. One kind of complaint is that it is a little difficult to separate the "corkscrew" so I have to tap it on the countertop. I'm pretty sure this will last a while. It would make my day if I could find some pasta plates for it (because for now I'll have to repair the KitchenAid with a little filler so I can use them) KitchenAid PS I used the shredder today to make hashbrowns and its not very sharp. The potatoes were hard to work through the shredder. Also, the pusher shown in the picture is curved on the bottom but the one that came is straight on the bottom so there is quite a wedge that cannot be used because there's no pressure on the vegetable. I also used the slicer on a potato, and I didn't have any problems with it. I also noticed that the "mill" doesn't fit very snug onto my Kitchen Aid, it works but its not tight. There is also not a very effective "removal" of already shredded vegies out of the shredder. I found I had to stick something in there so they would gravitate towards the opening.

I like all my little pieces I will say sometimes food gets stuck in the little column part and you can’t push it all the way down but that’s all

This is a great product if you process your own meat from what’s in the grocery stores these days, I would not buy ground meat. I would definitely buy whole meat from a butcher shop not big box store and grind your own burger.

Because the item is not stainless steel it gets oxidized and causes black marks in both the meat I’m grinding and on my hands I would not recommend it. I’ll be buying a stainless steel one.

The product was only good for one use. Soaked it in hot water and soap to get the fat off and now everything I touch the machine it’s grey marks all over my fingers and can’t be used

I washed this part of the meat grinder in the dishwasher, and it completely changed color and left black residue on everything. This part was supposed to be stainless steel, which is very disappointing. Clearly, the quality is not what was advertised.

Absolutely useless. It's so dull that won't grind or cut anything.
