Review: A good beginner's drone with GPS - For the price, this really isn't a bad drone. It's short comings are that the battery only last, in reality, about 10 minutes. At least one spare is a must for any kind of lengthy flying. Additionally, the camera isn't the greatest, recording at only 720p for video and still shots that are about 3MP. It doesn't mean that this is bad. If I wanted 4K and longer flying and range, I could plunk down $800-1000. And I may someday. However, since i'm new to drone flying, this was a good compromise between price and feature while I figure out what the heck I'm doing. It's a fairly small unit, so it's best to fly on a relatively calm day when winds are 5mph and below. Also, the range is not as far as it says -- 400+ ft. -- in reality, it's probably more like a couple hundred. By far, the best feature is the GPS. It helps keep the drone stationary when you want to hover without lots of manipulation. The integration with my iPhone is fairly seamless and easy and the app give indicators such as compass heading, map orientation, altitude, and distance from you. The GPS also allows for auto return if it looses signal. I recommend this for someone who is new to flying drones and wants a few added features without paying the price of a high end drone. Review: I like how the sky viper GPS performs - I like how the sky viper GPS performs. It does all what they claim only problem the drone has is the motors are inadequate. The motors will stop working if the drone has a hard landing, entanglements or just flying for more than four hours of flying within a week. I have gone through 12 within 6 months and not one has lasted over 2 weeks. I will be moving on to a different manufacturer.
