I bought this idli maker, and it is completely disappointing. The quality is extremely poor. When I received it, it already looked like it had rust. I tried making idlis, but they didnโt turn out properly at all. Instead of soft idlis, the batter turned into a sticky paste. Even when I used less water, the result was the same no proper shape, just a mushy mixture. The whistle sound is also very loud and concerning while using it. This product is not worth the money at all. Totally useless and a complete waste. I feel cheated after buying this.

The plates inside are of very poor quality and the stand is tilted. Also the depth of the plates is too shallow to make a good idli . Iโm planning to either return or get an exchange for a good one

Better than other brands, not inferior quality as some reviews say
Tried a few other brands available online here in the UK before buying this. Vinod idli maker seems to be of far better quality than the others. However, the idlis it make are quite small and also the whistle noise is too high if the vessel is fully tightened.

Good Product
It starts the whistling in just 2 minutes. Making it a bit confusing when to switch off the gas knob. Ideally one should keep the gas knob on for 8 mins and then let it cool down for another 5 mins
