Fantastic small reading/media tablet
I've had a tab s6lite for a few years now but it's always been too big for reading manga. It was too heavy to comfortably use it and not so travel friendly for my needs. I've been wanting a good small tablet for a while now, so I finally caved and picked up the a9 and I'm so glad I did. It feels a bit slow when when swiping around, and there's no way to change any display settings on it, but I'm used to the Galaxy S25U so I'll probably never get that fast refresh rate I'm used to. The size is great! It's just small enough to enjoy reading, and big enough to keep me off my phone. It's not heavy at all and is a joy to hold in one hand. It's also bright enough to read outside, although I haven't tested in sunny weather. I've been wanting a android tablet that's the same aspect ratio as a book but also ran android, but those are either too pricy or non existent. The tab a9 is a fantastic price. It looks and feels great. Even though it's a pretty device, I'll sadly still keep it in a case. I've had the tablet for maybe 5 days and ive only had to charge it twice (both times it was at half) and it's only been used for both YouTube and reading, so your mileage may vary. If you use Galaxy earbuds and other Samsung devices, it automatically pairs with any of them as long as you're signed into you're samsung account. All I had to do was open YouTube and play a video and it immediately connected to my earbuds without any hassle. Video playback was fine, I didn't see any issues in quality or visual lag. The case that I'm using was a cheap folio cover case on Amazon, I don't recommend this one specifically. It's very tight and presses on the corners of the screen. If the screen is on and is showing any dark/low light content, you can see a visible brightness if you look closely. It's as if you were to press with some force on the screen and see the lights change. I'm unsure how to describe it well. Just be careful of what cases you buy. To round this long rant off, I'll just say that for my specific needs, this device is a fantastic option for media consumption. And if your looking for a cheap android Ereader, this is probably the best you're gonna get.

Solid quality, no complaints
I bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 SM-X110 bundled with a power adapter. It's hard to find a reputable manufacturer who offers a mini-sized Android tablet. I rate Samsung at less than a perfect 5 stars because they didn't release this model in the U.S., but released the too-large Galaxy Tab A9+ instead. I rate the A9 tablet itself at 5 stars. Size is just right. Storage capacity and processor speed are good enough. Display is sharp with good color and contrast. I didn't want LTE, and this (specifically X110) tablet doesn't have it - that probably saves on battery life. Despite what other reviewers complain about setting up the tablet to work in the U.S., I had no problems. I chose American English as the language and Santiago Chile as my location since it's in my time zone. I changed the location for weather forecasts to my city, changed temperature units to Fahrenheit, and everything works fine. It came with Android 14 out of the box. I'm annoyed that there's no U.S. warranty coverage but I can live with that for a tablet that offers what I need at a reasonable price. Note that I'm not a connoisseur. My old LG tablet runs Android 7, has half the storage of my new one, and has been getting frustratingly less responsive. So the new one is amazing by comparison. My only regret is that Android 14 won't run the Swype and Dragon keyboard app - the one and only hardly-irritating-at-all tablet keyboard I've found so far. (App developers please take note, and please come out with a not-irritating keyboard option for all of us Swypers.)

Works in US without limitations, great value!
This works in the US. A Samsung account is required to change the region in the settings AFTER device is fully set up. As long as you read the prompts during set up and aren't bothered by switching C⁰ to F⁰ this is a great tablet. I purchased this for my 4yo to complete homeschool assignments, edit videos (super simple editing for a kid), read music, watch videos and learn coding. I needed access to Google Play store to ensure all the apps we've purchased on a second device were accessible. Her fire tablet didn't have access without installing a bunch of APK files in a specific order. All features are accessible, play store works as expected and I have not run into any limitationS when using the international model in the US. The sound quality is great, colors are vibrant and the size is great to put in a backpack or purse. It's light enough for a kid or those with arthritis, carpal tunnel or other hand mobility differences. The battery life is decent and lasts more than a day with moderate use. It does take a long time to charge up, so we have to be sure to charge up at night. Definitely a great tablet and value. I may have to get a second for myself so I can keep my iPad for work completely separate from personal. Buy it!

Bang for the Buck
Arrived fully sealed in the packaging, no rust or signs of wear. Install was simple using my Android phone. Device is slightly laggy, not a premium flagship or anything, but perfect for the price. Initially set up for Australia (I'm in US) with weather reporting Singapore, but all I had to do was update the weather app w/my location and to use F vs. C. Once all of the Samsung and Play store updates finished, rebooted and she's humming right along. Highly recommend. Main downside is, it's a low budget tablet so won't feel as responsive as your phone (assuming it's modern). You can mitigate by going into developer mode and disabling some things, but there's always a slight delay when tapping the screen.

100% worth the money
This is a great tab for kids 5+, my little cousin has had hers for over a year and there’s no cracks, scratches, nothing. It’s very durable 10/10 would recommend. 100% worth the money

Stopped charging after a few months
The tablet itself is perfect for what I needed - a small "throw away" tablet to remote control audio mixing hardware, and something that was cheap enough that I wouldn't care about if it got damaged at a gig. During setup, the tablet only let me choose a country that was in a list of middle eastern countries. Which is weird, but to be fair, it is listed as the "International Version". And for what I'm using it for, I didn't really care. Text was in English, and I can set my timezone to something in the US, so whatever. But the HUGE disappointment is that it stopped charging after just a few months. I did let the battery get fully discharged, but I've never heard of a tablet/phone fully dying after discharging (and I've had plenty of phones/tablets in my life that I've let discharge). I spent several days trying different chargers, even the included one, and following online advice on how to reset it using volume/power keys, but the tablet remains dead. I didn't realize this until a few days before a gig, and didn't have time to research a better replacement, so I ended buying this tablet a second time. I'll be sure to not let it get fully discharged, and hopefully it will be fine. But I'm really disappointed in this basic kind of a failure, especially from a company like Samsung.

Great Gaming Tablet for the Price – Smooth Performance and Reliable
I was a little worried after reading some of the negative comments, but my experience has been nothing but positive. The tablet arrived brand new, with the box completely sealed. No scratches, no broken seal, everything inside (USB cable, instructions). No charger included, but that was clearly advertised by Samsung, so no surprise there. It is indeed the exact model I ordered. Like other buyers mentioned, it’s an international version (mine showed Middle East firmware, I set it to South Africa while living in Canada). This has caused no problems at all – Wi-Fi connected instantly, all my apps work fine. The tablet came with 55% battery, and while it drained a little fast at first, charging and calibration made it stable. The screen is clear, though it’s only 720p and not OLED. Still, it’s perfectly fine for reading, watching videos, light gaming, and more. The touchscreen is responsive, with only slight delay when typing quickly. Updates worked flawlessly – I upgraded to OneUI 7 and Android 15 without issues. Linking my Google and Samsung accounts was seamless. A 128 GB microSD card formatted and worked perfectly. Gaming performance: Pokémon TCG Live → No lag, fluid and smooth, much better than my Galaxy A15 phone. Ragnarok X → Heavy 3D game, runs impressively well with only tiny hiccups. Pokémon GO → Stable, GPS works fine, small lags only when loading maps. Parsec → Amazing remote gaming experience. Works best on 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and 720p resolution for stability. Played Final Fantasy X and XVI flawlessly with an 8bitdo Ultimate Controller. RetroArch → Retro gaming is excellent. 3DS via Citra core runs almost perfectly. scrcpy (Windows) → Plug & play screen mirroring, zero lag, perfect for streaming. Extra for techies: Developer options include OEM Unlocking, so root/custom ROMs are possible for advanced users. 👉 Overall: This is an amazing gaming tablet for the price. Of course, it’s not OLED, it’s 720p, and the sound could be better – but for gaming, movies, social media, browsing, and overall use, it’s fantastic. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you. If you understand it’s an international model, you’ll be very satisfied.

Great Tablet for Everyday Use
This tablet has a very good screen size and excellent responsiveness. Everything feels smooth and quick, whether I am browsing, streaming, or reading. It was very easy to set up and configure right out of the box. I especially enjoy using it for watching movies and reading digital books. The display looks great, and the size makes it comfortable for both entertainment and productivity. It is also very lightweight, which makes it easy to hold for long periods without feeling tired. Overall, it comes from a brand I really trust, and it shows in the quality and performance. I am very happy with this purchase.
