INCLUDES LIST OF OBJECT NAMES
This is a fun and exciting educational toy that is quite versatile. The red plastic ABC barns are nicely made with rounded surfaces and a gentle feel to them. Quite the variety of items are contained within the barns! Lots of vocabulary and verbal skill developmental and learning is able to take place when using this toy. And for those kids that speak non-English languages, it’s a great opportunity for them to get to “teach” others how to say the names of the objects in their native tongue.I’m thankful for the list of objects that’s included with this toy! I wasn’t having success figuring out the object for the letter “I” ~ wondering if it represented a bunch of ice. The handy list let me know that it was in fact an island. “I” is for island!

Okay for the price
Okay for the price but definitely need to get your own box or tub for keeping these. The roofs also don’t stay on super well. Overall, decent for the price.

Love it, but....
I really love this, but the letter w comes twice. I'm missing the letter x.

My toddler loves these.
These are so simple and fun. My daughter absolutely loves playing with these. This does come boxed nicely and were able to put them back in the box when she’s done playing with them. For it being a bunch of pieces they’re actually very durable and it seems to be a good quality these army well, and I’ve had them for a little while and she does get them out and play with them several times a week so she does not get bored with this at all. It comes with everything that you say and I’m very happy with it. I think it’s a wonderful price.I hope this review is helpful.

Pretty good, but some strange choices for objects
I was torn between 3 and 4 stars for this one. Overall, it is a good product. My 4 year old enjoys it. My only complaint really is that some of the word choices aren’t necessarily developmentally appropriate. For example “island” for I (and it doesn’t even look like an island either, to be honest), and “jigsaw” for J. Also the necklace for the letter N is too short for kids to put on over their heads. It cans be unclipped and put on for them, but it’s not something they can independently do. I think it should be a little longer so they can take it on and off on their own. The yo-yo for Y doesn’t work, and is almost impossible to wrap back up, which is annoying when little ones keep unwinding it over and over.

Great for learning
I liked the thought that went into what is inside the barns, each toy corelated to the letter that's on the barn and my son loves opening one and saying the letter and name of that is inside.

Letter recognition and onset sound matching for the classroom
JoyCat alphabet barns are pretty nice. I am a Pre-K teacher and work with 32 four-year olds daily. Each barn offers upper/lowercase matching of letters and has a hidden item inside starting with that letter. As far as object choice is concerned, I found jigsaw to be difficult to figure out for a 4 year old. I also had to refer to the key to figure out "island" myself. Without any water reference, I came up with "igneous rock". Of course you can always replace these with whatever items you want inside. The size and quality of the items included is very random. For instance, there is a real working, full sized yo-yo. On the other hand, the jigsaw piece and key probably will have a short life span in the classroom as they are flimsy. The xylophone is quite nice but huge and needs to be folded in half to stuff back in the barn. Children will also struggle getting the alligator, bat and fish back into the barn easily without frustration, hints or help. The barn tops could use a bigger lip to secure them firmly on. They pop off easily, especially the barns with the objects that don't fit well inside. You will want to store these in some type of basket/container with ample room. Kids will not have the time or patience to match everything up nicely and put it away. I know we will have fun with these items and barns in our classroom. Recommend for ages 3-7 due to small pieces.

Excellent educational tool for kiddos to learn the alphabet.
The barn letters serve as an excellent educational tool for children to learn the alphabet and early reading skills. Each barn features a metal or plastic item that corresponds with the letter displayed on the exterior (e.g., B for Bat, E for Elephant). The durable plastic material ensures longevity, even if handled roughly by a two-year-old. However, it's advisable to supervise children when using the smaller interior objects, as the metal pieces may have sharp edges. This will definitely enhance my story times.
