TruVibe Cacao - the most delicious super food around! I
After reading about the benefits of cacao, I decided to try TruVibe organic raw cacao powder. I first tried it in my morning smoothies which I make using Pure Protein powder drink mix French Vanilla flavor, Silk blended Coconut and Almond Milk, TruVibe Chia seeds, and cold milled flax seed. I typically also add either frozen blueberries or frozen strawberries and for a healthy fat I may add organic peanut butter or coconut oil. I also add a teaspoon of cinnamon which helps with processing glucose. The cacao makes my smoothie seem like a rich dessert. This week I have also tried adding cacao to oatmeal. It's December and getting cold so a I wanted to try a nice warm bowl of oatmeal. I added cacao, chia and cold-milled flax seed as well as Maca powder. I find that I need to add a cup and a half of water to a half cup or old fashioned rolled oats when I add these extra items. First I cook the oats in the 1 and 1/2 cups water. It will seem watery but once you add the flax, chia, cacao and maca it becomes thicker. The last thing I add is a half cup of organic apple juice or cider. This adds sweetnes along with a nice dose of vitamin C. I also add some dried cranberries which adds sweetness and fiber. It is very delicious and a very healthy and powerful combination of foods to start your day. There are so many benefits to adding cacao to your diet. It is truly one of the most amazing foods I have found for the health conditions I am working to correct. This article describes the benefits: http://www.secrets-of-longevity-in-humans.com/raw-cacao-benefits.html. I have found that since I have started eating cacao three to four times per week that my glucose level and LDL cholesterol levels have radically dropped. My blood glucose had been running in the high range very near that which would garner me the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes for the past several years. Even with taking prescription Metformin, I was not able to get my levels down. My doctor prescribed a glucometer so that I could start monitoring my blood glucose since I am trying to stay off of prescription meds for condition management. When I first started monitoring my glucose levels were running in the 145 to 135 range. Recently after a few weeks of adding cacao to my diet my readings have dropped. Today for instance my fasting glucose was 80 first thing in the morning. Two hours after lunch it was 114 and two hours after dinner it was 107. I have recently added Maca powder to my diet as well which I also purchase from TruVibe. Both the cacao and maca power from TruVibe are of very high quality. And as they say, their products are infused with positivity. Right now in my cabinet I have TruVibe Cacao, TruVibe Chia Seeds and TruVibe Maca Powder. Every time I open my cabinet I see the combined messages: Art is Life, Do it Now, Live your Dreams. That is a great way to start my day each morning. I can't wait until my next visit with the doctor to see what my biometrics will be this time.

TruVibe will donate for each written review! Organic, fresh and potent. Tastes great in my supplement shakes!
This TruVibe Cacao Powder is a great deal. I mix it in with Almost Milk and other supplements for a nutritional shake. The cacao appears to be raw, fresh and potent, adding a nice chocolaty flavor to my shakes. It's not too gritty and mixes reasonably well (cacao doesn't mix with liquids well in general). I would definitely buy again. Great energy shake recipe: Cacao Almost milk Chia Seeds Coconut Sugar Honey Fantastic Cacao Chia Seed Avocado pudding (Avocado makes pudding super rich n creamy without leaving taste) 1/4 cup Cacao 3 Tablespoons Chia Seeds 1 Banana 1 Avocado 3 Tablespoon Coconut oil 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 3 tablespoon honey (optional, depends how sweet you like it) 1 1/2 cup Almond/Coconut milk (vanila flavor if no vanilla extract) If you love the chia seed texture (like topioca balls), blend everything else then add chia seeds and let sit for 8 hours in fridge (mix from time to time). Otherwise you can just blend everything, this will break up the chia seeds. If you are missing anything, just make it anyway. It's still great pudding only with Cacao, Chia Seeds and Almond Milk + your favorite sweetener. It's heavenly! Update 10/24/2015 I just received an Email from TruVibe "needs your help". The Email states "As a company TruVibe Organics is committed to giving back to the global community as 1% for the planet members. In addition, for each review posted on Amazon, we will donate $5.00 to Feed The Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger around the world. Each dollar donated is multiplied by 5 through corporate partnerships." If it's true, I think that is a significant contribution TruVibe is making to the world community and I wish I could raise my review to 6 stars. Makes it a no brainer to purchase TruVibe products and write a review, you can think of your review as a donation too!

Cacao Powder Done Right
This powder if the bees knees. On my journey of being vegan I have had to cut a lot out of my diet, including milk chocolate which was one of my top ten foods I just couldn't live without. I have heard about raw cacao from numerous sources who claims it's good for you if you don't load it with sugar and it gives you energy among other benefits of chocolate. Originally I got Hershey's Special Dark because that's the only unprocessed raw cacao I could find locally and it was okay but I wasn't really vibing with it. I found that it's too bitter tasting and you have to really modify how much you use or suffer the consequences of a bitter finish. I decided to jump on Amazon to see what other options are available for delivery. The higher star reviews is what sold this for me and I am very happy with this powder. It's raw but it's palatable. It doesn't matter how much I dump into my smoothies, "nice" cream or other uses it doesn't negatively impact the overall dish. It's not clumpy, it's easy to mix in with no issues. The flavor is really chocolatey but pleasantly so. I think this is going to be a brand that I will be purchasing more from. On another token I saw that some of the lower star reviews was not based off of the product, per se, but the California warning label about cancer. The thing is, after doing some research into the matter, numerous products coming out of California is required, by law, to have the warning label. There is nothing about raw cacao that would cause cancer. Don't let that label keep you from an otherwise excellent product.

Good Product!!
Cacao powder is some versatile stuff. It can be used for baking, smoothies, and sipping on a frothy cacao drink. In addition cacao also contains large amounts of antioxidants and other important minerals that provide the mind and body a nice gentle boost of energy. Unlike the cacao nibs, which are useful in their own right, this powder dissolves relatively easily into the median it is being mixed with making this a very easy to use form. As a non coffee drinker I often use this powder in a simple afternoon pick me up shake containing: 6-8 oz water or milk, 1 banana, and 2 tbsp raw Cacao Powder. This shake is easy to make, economical, and energizes me in a focused and clear way. This particular brand smells and tastes good- like cacao should. I'm 3/4 of the way through my first bag of the truvibe brand and am very happy so far. I plan on checking out their other products as they sell a few of the "superfoods" (i.e smoothie ingredients). Would recommend!

The Worst Cacao Powder I've Ever Tried
I'm a big fan of cacao and have tried a number of different brands. My personal favorite is Pure Natural Miracles Raw Organic Cacao Powder, Best Unsweetened Cocoa, 100% USDA Certified . It's of much higher quality than this product, but I was looking to save a few dollars by purchasing this one. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Upon first opening the bag, I noticed that the cacao inside had a lifeless, light brown coloring to it. This was the first major red flag. With other high quality cacao powders that I've used before, the color is a rich, dark, orange-brown. After making the first drink with it, I noticed that the taste was completely off. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's a taste of soil and / or mold. Whenever I add this cacao to a smoothie, its "off" taste overpowers everything else and makes me gag. Finally, I also noticed that this cacao is not of single-origin. As stated on the back of the package, it is a "Product of Peru, Indonesia, and Ecuador." This reminds me of the cheap, low-quality olive oils out there that are from several different countries. MAJOR red flag. If a potential buyer is reading this review, I strongly suggest that you look elsewhere. If the seller is reading this review, please find a way to improve the quality of your cacao.

Nice Product!
This is the cacao that I've been looking for - great chocolate taste combined with healthy nutrients and antioxidants. I reserve it for use in recipes that don't involve a lot of heat, so antioxidants and other valuable nutrients are left intact when I consume it. (I use regular, less expensive cocoa for baking.) So, I make a cup of hot chocolate in the evening using almond milk warmed in the microwave and a squirt of stevia or monkfruit. It satisfies my dessert cravings and also the seratonin found in cacao makes me a bit sleepy. (There's no caffiene in cacao itself, but plenty found in milk chocolate for some reason.) I also used it to make strawberries dipped in chocolate and to make chocolate candy, both made with extra virgin coconut oil. Again, the heating requirements are minimal (actually, just a warming to melt the coconut oil). I truly appreciate that this is organic and processed to keep the good, healthy antioxidants.

the cacao was fresh and mildly sweet even without the honey.
Hello I just received my order of TruVibe 100% Organic Raw Cacao Powder, and TruVibe 100% Organic Raw Chia Seeds. It was at the end of a long day and I was hoping to have energy to get into my studio and paint but was feeling very low, so I decided to try out the cacao and chi seeds hoping that it would pick me up. I just blended both the cacao and chia seeds together with some organic flax milk and a little honey and ice into the best cold drink I have had in some time. Its flavor was really smooth with none of the bitterness I have tasted in some other products, the cacao was fresh and mildly sweet even without the honey. I was hesitant about the chia seeds but they were just great and tasty. Almost instantly my energy picked up and I was ready and excited to spend the evening painting. I really enjoyed the drink and plan to use both products in more drinks maybe with some raw ginger and turmeric and in deserts like a raw chia cacao pudding, also I plan using them them in some gluten free baking and bread making. These products are great, very fresh, well priced and I will buy them again and again I highly recommend them.
