LiNKFOR 3.5mm to SPDIF Converter AUX to Optical Digital Audio Adapter

Bought this lead for my cheap simple projector (£80 a few years back), to connect to my nice new sound bar. SOUND! Worked perfectly. There are instructions if you need it. Silly me plugged the USB into the sound bar thinking that would power it 😅 read the instructions, you need to connect the USB to a plug. Maybe I'm just stupid, but it might help someone.

I needed a solution to connect my speakerless monitor to my Sonos Beam soundbar via the monitor's 3.5mm audio output socket. The Sonos Beam only has an HDMI input but is supplied with a SPDIF to HDMI adapter cable.To be honest, I had quite low expectations for this LINKFOR analogue to digital converter based upon some of the reviews. I, however, can't fault it. The sound quality from my Xbox Series X via the monitor and LINKFOR converter is great with no whining or high pitched noises as reported by others. Easy to connect and good quality for the price. One happy customer who would have no hesitation buying another.

I needed something that allowed me to connect a new PC audio to my Sonos Beam soundbar, as my previous PC had an optical out. This little device performs perfectly. I was concerned that introducing this DAC (as well my optical to HDMI converter) could introduce audio/video synchronization issues but there's been absolutely none. There's also been no issues in sound quality either. Only minor gripe is that it's powered only by a hard-wired USB cable.

No issues at all, needed this as I bought a soundbar which has optical connection only and use a gaming monitor with VRR which has 3.5mm out only for audio.Xbox series x has no optical out and when using a HDMI audio extractor you would lose the ability to use VRR (Variable refresh rate) which is what i experienced and couldn't get used to the downgrade.With this item i am now able to connect the xbox directly to the monitor with a HDMI cable to keep VRR and I use the linkfor adapter to connect from the 3.5mm out of the monitor to the optical in on soundbar so really happy about that as if you've tried gaming with VRR and without there is a noticeable difference with framerate drops and stuttering.Easy to set up, sound quality is unaffected and cable length is good.

I recently updated my home sound system with a multi-room streaming amp. This amp had 2 extra zones for external devices - an RCA input for analog and a Toslink optical input for digital. My wife preferred her old NUVO streamer to listen to Sirius XM in her bath and was not happy with the new setup. So, I tried to reinstall of the bath NUVO player to the RCA zone of the new amp without success. I then searched Amazon and bought this converter with which I was able to get the NUVO to work using the optical input channel - it sounds great! For $17 this handy LiNKFOR gizmo was a simple solution to my audio problem, and it scores mega-bonus points for getting my wife off my back.
