works very well. I like it. It needs an off/on switch. Pain in the neck having to unplug it each time.

Loved that it is easier to sifter with this product. Gave a 4 because it does not have an on/off switch.

well made but holes are big... not good for small to rock... check your rocks size before buying..

Suggested improvements... 1. Put an on/off switch on or near the vibrating motor. The screen is a bit fragile - needs to be stronger. I put legs on mine.

So hard to find good topsoil without rocks and bark. This works great to remove them!

There was no hardware to mount the motor to the frame, but luckily my husband has 47 of everything. :) There was a bit of a learning curve - how tightly to bungee the frame to the cart (just snug enough to keep it from sliding but loose enough to efficiently vibrate), how much can it handle as a load of relatively clean shavings in a horse stall (about 3 manure forks full at a time, depending on if there is hay involved), and how much can it manage before undoing the bungees and dumping the remainder (about 6 manure forks full if they're pretty clean already). It took about an hour to completely sift an already clean stall that did have some hay scraps involved, but by the 3rd stall, it was much better. I use pelleted bedding, and if they haven't completely dissolved, they don't fit through the screen, so I would only use this prior to adding more bedding.I wish it had an on/off switch instead of having to unplug it every time I had to empty it. I think I can manage sifting my stalls once a week (I clean them twice a day) to have a perfect base before adding more shavings. I have one boarder, and she LOVED how her mare's stall looked afterward! I'm very glad I found this on a FB group for horse owners.

With the provided hardware, I was able to mount the vibrating device onto the screen frame. This size screen works well with our wheel barrel and makes quick work of separating twigs, wood chips and rocks away from the soil we want to use in our outdoor pots and grow beds. Can't wait to use this on the soil coming from our compost pile. We throw leaves, grass clippings, and smaller twigs into the compost pile. Last year, we had to pull the larger twigs that hadn't decomposed, out of the soil we were gathering from the compost pile, in order to add it to our garden beds. I was thinking of making a screen frame like this but I wasn't up for moving the screen by hand. The vibrating device allows up to just keep shoveling the soil onto the screen and have the sifting done for us. What a great find.
