little bottle of wonder
I've always been on the hunt for that holy grail hair product, and let me tell you, stumbling upon the Manuka Honey & Avocado Scalp & Hair Oil felt like striking gold. This little bottle of wonder promised moisture and shine for my hair and scalp, and oh, did it deliver! From the moment I massaged the first drops into my scalp, I knew this was different from anything I'd tried before. The oil felt luxurious yet light, and it didn't leave my hair feeling weighed down or greasy—a common issue I've faced with other oils. Instead, it soaked in beautifully, leaving my scalp feeling nurtured and my hair with a subtle, healthy glow. But what really took me by surprise was the scent. It's this gentle, almost comforting aroma that makes me look forward to my hair care routine. It's not overpowering at all, just this lovely hint of nature that lingers softly.I've been using it for a few days now, and the difference in my hair's texture and shine is remarkable. My friends have even started commenting, asking what I've changed in my routine. And my scalp? That constant battle with dryness and itchiness has finally calmed. It's like my scalp is taking a long, refreshing drink of hydration every time I use this oil.I've got fine, curly hair that can be a bit temperamental with products, but this oil has slotted into my routine like it was made for me. It gives just the right amount of moisture without flattening my curls or making them feel sticky. The Manuka Honey & Avocado Scalp & Hair Oil has been a game-changer for me. It's not just a hair product; it's become my little ritual of self-care that I look forward to.

Smells Pretty Terrible
This smells like cough syrup and old, rancid oil. I don't know if I received an expired bottle or something, but it's not great. There's no way I'd be able to leave it in like the directions advise, so I tried it like a mask; leaving it in for a bit before washing it out. While the smell is extremely off-putting, it does seem to moisterize well at least.

Nice addition to my routine
I ordered this with the intent of using it as a pre-shower oil. At first, the smell from the bottle was a little odd. I couldn't place what it smelled like but I wasn't too fond of it in the beginning. Once you actually squeeze out some of the contents, it smells like sweets. I can't tell what I relate it to more; Bubble Yum, cotton candy, or strawberry candy. The smell is pleasant and very minimal. For the first use, I added some drops to my Tangle Teezer, and found I could actually use less than other pre-shower treatments on my 1C hair. Just something to note; a little goes a long way if you've got texture similar to mine. For this first use, I was pleasantly surprised with how well it combed through 2.5 days of tangles with little effort. I only really hit snags in the beginning of brushing at the bottom of my hair. This seems to promise better performance than other products I use throughout the week, and I may need to try this as a leave-in at some point, as well as to tame frizz as another review mentioned. While the product was left to sit, it definitely looked like my hair was greasy, but not overly so. (At least, given the amount I used.) There was no greasy feeling in my hair. In fact, it felt soft and hydrated. I definitely feel like my hair cuticles were protected in the wash.Totally recommend!

Good Value but Strong Sweet Scent
This Sof-N-Free scalp oil is thin and refined. I have been using it nightly for a week to address a dry scalp/dry hair problem. After use my scalp is no longer itchy and my hair shines, lies flat, looks so much healthier. Previously I was using an argan oil which works well as a conditioner but it too thick for daily use. Over time the argan builds up on my skin and hair. This oil, so far, is preferable in that it is absorbed more easily into skin and hair shafts. However, I have one complaint. It is the smell. The scent is strong and does not appeal to me. Everyone’s preferences are different when it comes to fragrance, but this oil has a sweet, cloying smell that bothers me until it dissipates. I am reminded of the flavor of old-fashioned pink bubble gum. I hold my breath while applying this oil, but notice the scent lingers around me for up to ten minutes after I have used the product. Scentless oil would be preferable to me. If not scentless, then something less sweet. I feel as if this otherwise effective scalp/hair oil is not served well by the addition of this particular fragrance.Apart from the addition of the fragrance, this seems like a good product so far. It is offered at a fair price and works well.

Good quality and pleasant scent
I've not used an oil product like this before but I tried it out the other day and thought it was nice. It certainly adds a bit of shine to my hair, although I don't have issues with dry hair or scalp so not sure how effective that part of this product will be. Funny though, I thought the scent reminded me a bit of the "Smarties" candy for some reason...although the scent is mild to me.

Not much manuka?
Manuka honey pretty low on the ingedients list. This smells sweet and I see that there is added fragrance which is a bummer as my scalp is sensitive so this is not as natural as I would hope.I use it as a pre-shampoo treatment (I have sensitive and flaky scalp and medium thickness slightly wavy hair.) It did help with some of the flaking but this is much too greasy for me to wear except as a treatment that must be washed out.Not a terrible product, but compared to other products I've tried I wouldn't purchase again.
