This is an effective product!! I've been shaving for 65 years and this is the first shaving product I endorse with no hesitation. it is not the "fluffy" type of shaving cream - but a product that really permits one to shave comfortably and quickly. I have no idea what are the secret ingredients but I I think most men (and women) will find this gives a clean and easy shave. And you don't have to put a lot on. I recommend dousing your face and neck with very warm water, then apply a moderate amount of the cream. My experience is that you do not have to put a lot on but just cover the area and shave! Just to know I recently comment on another Harry's product where I gave only three stars (at the most) Stephen M.

I postponed writing this review, but this was without any doubt the worst men's shaving cream I've ever purchased. I tried this simply because I wanted something pleasant on my face and because I work hard enough to appreciate myself on rare occasion. If you're reading this review as a man or a woman perhaps thinking of yourself or your partner, let me make a statement that I believe we'd all agree on: a man's face takes a lot of abuse with daily shaving. And for women who shave their legs daily, you have my full empathy as I can imagine it's at least as hard. I've tried various products, but I personally don't like shaving gels. Many shaving soaps work very well for shaving and smell great, too, but they may require following up with a good moisturizer as some (maybe most?) will dry your face out too much. So, I gave this a shot. The product is very overpriced, but, far more importantly, doesn't work well for the intended purpose of shaving. It neither foams nor lathers effectively. When squeezing into your hand, it looks like a stiff little pile of white toothpaste. I was indifferent to that at first and even thought it might be foreshadowing something new/different/pleasant for my face. I thought it might build into something more substantial with a little rubbing or circular motion on my cheeks, but I was disappointed to discover that it cannot be coaxed into a good application on a freshly washed, damp face. Please note that I tried various other approaches just to test whether deviating from the directions would yield something more useful, but, alas, to no avail. The application is thin and unpleasant regardless of approach. While it afforded some mild protection to my face, I would imagine that the mucilage from a piece of gently cooked okra would perform at least as well for shaving in addition to being natural, inexpensive, and better smelling. This cream smells very camphoraceous. Yes, this is very reasonably expected for a product purporting to contain eucalyptus; however, this product tips well into smelling like an analgesic cream rather than something a man would want to have his wife or partner smell on him after he shaves. So many people had made good comments, but I admit I was duped. For what I paid for these two useless tubes of Harry's, I could have bought 6 cans of old school Barbasol with aloe which would perform far better and smell significantly better. I'm glad I discovered the poor quality with Harry's shaving cream first rather than trying their blades. My friends, keep looking out for yourself by shopping for something better!

Purchased this. As well as CREMO. Did a 50/50 with HARRYS and CREMO one on each half of my face. For my face HARRY’s no contest. Cremo dried up fast and had to continue adding water i found i eneded up finishing my face with HARRYS after 2nd pass though reviews are positive of CREMO so while i have not given up on it maybe just used more than recommended but not by much I feel. The HARRYS. Love it. Better thickness. Goes on very smooth and tends to cling well to the skin and even without a brush (waiting for mine to arrive) it works great i got the closest shave to date with 0 skin irritation or razor burn (Astro platinum blades) HENSON AL13 and thats 3 passes.. nice cool feeling and smells great as well. Gave it 4 as first time using it time will tell for future uses.

Gives you a nice shave. Harry's has good items for personal grooming
