Elegant, Cozy, and Polished - A Surprise from Lattafa
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Liam turned out to be a total gem. It starts with a slightly sharp blast of cardamom and earthy black tea, almost like opening a tin of loose-leaf tea. It can feel a bit intense if you’re not expecting it, but give it a minute or two and it softens beautifully. Once it calms, the fragrance opens up into a creamy, powdery mix of iris, vanilla, sandalwood, and vetiver. There’s a comforting warmth to it, like slipping into a cashmere sweater with a cup of tea in hand. It leans clean and smooth rather than heavy and over-the-top - polished, grown-up, and surprisingly versatile. In terms of performance, it doesn’t dominate a room, but it stays with you. Expect around 6–8 hours of wear on skin, and longer on clothes, with a modest projection that keeps things personal yet noticeable. It won’t announce itself aggressively, which makes it great for work or cozy gatherings without overwhelming anyone. Some buyers compare it to much pricier niche scents, feeling it captures the same kind of elegant, laid-back sophistication for a fraction of the cost. It’s often described as unisex but leans slightly masculine - though many women enjoy its warm, soft-spice character. What to know before buying blind: - The opening can be a bit dusty or intense - don’t judge it too quickly. - It’s perfect for cooler weather or indoor environments where you want something warm but not sweet. - Projection is more subtle, but longevity is solid. - If you like spicy, tea-like scents with a soft, creamy dry down, this is a strong pick. Overall, Liam feels like a confident, luxurious signature scent without the price tag. It’s mature, balanced, and quietly compelling - perfect for someone who wants to smell great without shouting for attention.

This is your sign---buy it!
Wow, wow, wow. If you are intrigued, then just buy it. Lol Seriously, this smells like your dressed in a dark academia vibe walking through the misty autumn fog to the local bookstore where you meet with your lifelong friend to discuss philosophy. This fragrance smells sophisticated yet cozy at the same time. The tea note is so well balanced it doesn't overwhelm and the vanilla has a warm tone with a wisp of spice to it. I think this is unisex but could lean more masculine. However, I mix it with Athena by Maison Alhambra and it is divine. So this fragrance could stand on its own or easily be mixed to make it more masculine or feminine. I can't get over how expensive this fragrance smells but at such a low cost. It is definitely one of the best middle eastern fragrance I own.

Lattafa Liam Grey: Cozy Black Tea and Fig Done Shockingly Well
Lattafa Liam Grey is one of the more well-known modern Lattafa releases because it targets a very specific niche DNA. The easiest and most accurate way to frame it is this: Liam Grey sits firmly in the BDK Gris Charnel lane. From the first spray, the inspiration is obvious. The opening revolves around cardamom, black tea, and fig, which gives it that cozy, slightly spicy, creamy feel that defines the Gris Charnel profile. It immediately comes across warm and smooth rather than bright or loud. As it develops, the fragrance becomes more structured. The mid introduces iris, vetiver, and labdanum, which add a slightly powdery, woody depth. This is where the scent starts feeling more niche-like. It has that calm, composed character instead of trying to project aggressively. The drydown is where the comfort factor really kicks in. You get sandalwood, vanilla, tonka, and patchouli, which create a creamy, slightly sweet base that lingers for hours. The overall effect is warm, smooth, and cozy without turning fully gourmand. In terms of similarity, most impressions land in the “clearly inspired but not identical” range. It captures the overall mood of Gris Charnel very well, but tends to be a bit sweeter and slightly less refined in the blend. The original feels smoother and more nuanced, but Liam Grey delivers the core vibe convincingly for a fraction of the price. Performance is generally solid. Most wearers report good longevity with moderate projection, which fits the scent profile well. This isn’t meant to be loud or beast mode. It’s more of a scent that sits in your aura rather than filling a room. Stylistically, this is not a gym or hot-weather fragrance. It works best in: - fall and winter - rainy days - cozy indoor settings - relaxed evenings - casual date nights It leans unisex but slightly mature, especially compared to louder Middle Eastern releases. One important thing with Liam Grey is expectation management. This DNA isn’t mass-appeal fresh or ultra-sweet designer territory. It’s more of a calm, slightly introspective scent profile. If you don’t already like the Gris Charnel style, this won’t convert you. Overall, Liam Grey works because it stays true to the assignment. It delivers the creamy tea, fig, and sandalwood warmth that makes Gris Charnel appealing while keeping the price extremely accessible. It doesn’t replace the original in refinement, but as an affordable entry into that niche scent profile, it makes a lot of sense.

Great Alternative for BDK Gris Charnel!
Presentation: The packaging surprised me in a good way. It feels more premium than expected, and the bottle looks clean and classy with a silver cap, “Lattafa” engraving, and a silver “LIAM” plaque on the front. Scent: Opens with black tea, cardamom, and fig for a fresh, slightly spicy sweet “tea and creamy woods” vibe. It quickly reminded me of BDK Gris Charnel with that cozy, refined, airy spicy feel. It smooths out with iris and vetiver, then dries down warm with sandalwood, vanilla, tonka, and a touch of patchouli. Performance: About 4 to 7 hours on skin and 7 to 8 hours on clothes. Moderate projection for the first couple of hours, then it wears closer. Pros: Smells refined for the price, great for cooler weather, and scratches the Gris Charnel itch without niche pricing. The tea and fig opening helps it stand out from basic fresh scents. Cons: Not a safe blind buy. If you dislike tea notes, fig, or soft spicy scents, it may not be for you. Also becomes more close wearing as it dries down. Best for: Fall, winter, spring, and indoor use with A C. Overall, a great pickup if you like fresh but cozy scents. Sample first if you are unsure about tea

Too masculine for me, but still a nice fragrance for a man
I tried to like this on me, but it was just too masculine leaning for my taste. I even let it sit a couple months. It is not bad...just not for me. I ended up giving it to my grandson. It does smell nice on him so I am glad he gets to enjoy it. I love many Lataffa fragrances, so while I would not buy this one again for me, I know it is nice for my grandson.

Oh beautiful Liam !
Smells so good but it is not a safe blind buy. Didn’t need to “macerate” to enjoy it. It’s definitely unisex but soft enough to be feminine. Last over 5 hours on MY skin. Love it!!!

Way worth the price if you want to try something new. It doesn't suck.
For the price, this cologne/perfume is very good. I've been paying attention to different men's colognes and women's perfumes for more than 50 years since I was born in the mid 1960s. Scents like Chanel No. 5 in the early 60's that my mother would wear and many others since then. Some of the inexpensive colognes like Old Spice at that time for men were iconic. Fast forward to the late 70s, scents like Paco Robane (sp?) were interesting and sometimes very good. Keep in mind I'm writing this because I really think this cologne is a great value for the money. I don't think it's as good as something costing much more. BUT, it comes close. And the only thing is that it won't last as long as something that cost around $100 to $200 dollars. All the reviews will tell you it's almost "unisex". It is. But, that's subjective. Based on all the feedback I've received, most young women think it smells incredible, and most young guys think it very very good. I can only tell you that I've worn it for the last few weeks, and it's kinda my go to, and I've gotten a LOT of complements. Bottom Line: It's not too feminine for a man (it's not too floral/sweet), but it's long lasting, VERY close to some "old school" scents, and it lasts for a day or so on your clothes. Which is perfect if you don't want to smell it forever like old school Joop or some others. Everything's subjective, but this one is definitely something to have in your bag at this price!

Comforting Pleasant Surprise
This was a blind buy for me and I wasn’t too sure what to expect. I found the scent notes intriguing so I gave it a shot. On my initial try I just sort of shrugged. It seemed fine but I wasn’t sure how often I’d wear it. Then the magic happened. On the dry down Liam had morphed into the most wonderful, comforting scent. It’s a cliche, I know, but I couldn’t stop smelling myself. It’s not a beast mode fragrance with massive projection, it’s more of a skin scent, however that’s clearly how it was intended. This is a cozy, personal scent. The lavender and tea notes are slightly sweet but not cloying. I wear it to bed at night and even spray my pillow cases. While it’s not a strong projector it does have impressive longevity. Definitely a pleasant surprise! Edit to add: I wore it to work and several of my coworkers immediately asked for the name of the scent. My boss is ordering a bottle. It’s good stuff!

Repetiré por su duración
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ¡Vaya sorpresa!

Excellent unisex everyday wear with spice and fresh woodsy tones
Was a big fan of Lattafa Khamrah when I tried it, easy addition to the fragrance collection. I was blown away by how complex and luxurious it was paired with an unbelievable price point. So I thought I'd give a few other Lattafa products a try in that price point. No, I don't really know that much about fragrances, but I saw some videos saying this is sort of like a dupe of BDK's Gris Charnel. Haven't smelled that so can't compare, but I really did like this fragrance. It sort of felt basic when I first tried it, but it's actually grown on me over time. If you've tried Khamrah, this is definitely in that ballpark of woodsy, musky, spicy, rich, but on a much more toned down level. This one plays to me like a more reliable everyday wear for daytime or work, or casual nights out. Khamrah just has that little bit extra elevation to it that gives it a luxurious aspect. This is a solid fragrance though with a woodsy sort of spicy tone, with cardamom and vetiver. I'm a male but I think this could work well as a unisex fragrance and for the price point, I think this is definitely great value for that price. I'd purchase this again.
