THE SHORT VERSION I bought this pond in May 24 and it has made a massive difference to the wildlife in the garden, bringing in birds, bugs, frogs and tadpoles. It’s easy to build in under 15 mins with simple instructions, it’s great quality and a good size. The option of being able to create a bug home under the wildlife access steps is a great idea. It’s honestly the best £200 I’ve ever spent for the amount of joy it brings. I absolutely recommend it and so does the wildlife! THE LONG VERSION AND HOW I CREATED MINE I chose this raised pond because I wanted to encourage wildlife into the garden whilst also being able to keep the dog out of it. Some pond plants can be toxic to dogs and cats and I used online searches to help when choosing plants, along with planters all around the perimeter of the pond to help with this. Once the pond was quickly and easily built, I created a ramp using rocks and bricks going up to the steps of the pond. This is important to help wildlife such as hedgehogs to climb out should they happen to investigate and fall in. Large cobble stones were added to the bottom of the pond and terracotta pots placed on their side for amphibians to hide in. I filled it from the rain water butt as it’s safer than tap water. Native oxygenating plants were then added including hornwort (bought on here) and a packet of watercress, which is around £1 from any supermarket and is fine to just throw in (not the sandwich cress type in the square tub), this grows its own roots and spreads, growing pretty white flowers. I put in marginal plants and stood them on bricks, and planted a water mint in the ready made planter next to the steps. I also added duckweed and a white waterlily for some surface cover, to help prevent blanket weed and green water. Duckweed can cover an entire pond, so in winter when the surface froze, I took some out trapped in the ice whilst the critters were hiding safely at the bottom of the pond. I do use the water fountain it came with and it’s lovely, the sound also seems to help encourage wildlife to it. I did remove it over the winter in case the frost damaged it and put it back in the spring. Through the seasons this pond has progressed so much in terms of plant cover and the wildlife within it. First to arrive were tiny critters including rat tailed maggots (hover fly larvae), water louse, pond snails (came in on bought plants, so no need to buy). Birds came to visit and eat/drink from the pond. Then in July 24 frogs started visiting with one choosing to hibernate over winter. At the end of March 25 frogspawn was laid and we now have tadpoles! I have loved every minute of the year with my pond and I hope you love yours too!

Pleased with the pond. Easy to construct The solar pump requires direct sunlight to be most effective but still works when not in a sunny position.

Love it, I was very reluctant to purchase this as £200 was very cheap for something like this, I was thinking it's going to be wobbly, cheap, tacky and a nightmare to build, nope I had it all together in 15 mins took longer to add the water obviously but I really love this product and for the price it's amazing! The pump is Gr8, sets the raised pond off a treat, I've added solar lights to my pond but it looks just as good without.

Excellent for what I wanted easy to put together but fountain very poor looked a bit stupid hardly any flow had to buy one so made it more costly but looks perfect now

This was much nicer and sturdier than I thought it was going to be. Easy to assemble too. The pump doesn't need to be in full sunshine to work.

Absolutely love this pond. We’ve always had ponds in the garden but when we moved to this house we found the garden isn’t big enough for the ponds we’ve had in the past. It’s always made me regret leaving our previous house as I love the sound of water & the calmness of having a pond. We are now in our late 60’s & digging out even a small pond would have been difficult for my hubby as the ground is solid. Hubby came across this pond on Amazon & I can’t tell you how excited we were & we ordered it straight away, I’m so happy we did. It took about an hour to set up so very easy. It comes with a solar floating fountain but we found it annoying so decided on an electric pump. We haven’t had it long & already everything has settled in it. We get wildlife coming to get a drink, the magpies love it. We’ve put some little goldfish in & they seem happy too. All in all we are very happy with it.

Best money I've spent, put together by just clipping which was a bit of a challenge with arthritis in my hands but once it's up the finished pond looks great. I'm not putting fish in but suppose you could, I'm just waiting to see which wildlife visits now I've got plants in

Best £200 spent ever! Only regret is not getting one sooner! Arrived Yesterday and all set up and done in a few hours! Highly recommend it!! 🤩 Great size and pond easy to put together in 10 minutes, spent some time diggin up soil and levelling and put sand underneath, Left waterbuckets out all week with tapwater to get rid of cholrine etc...and putting the plants in was best bit! Very happy!!

Très beau sur ma terrasse

J’ai installé ce bassin Blagdon dans le jardin et je suis vraiment satisfait du résultat. C’est typiquement le genre de petite décoration qui apporte immédiatement quelque chose à un extérieur, sans nécessiter de gros travaux ni de compétences particulières. Le montage est hyper simple et surtout très intuitif. Les différentes pièces s’assemblent facilement et la mise en route de la pompe ne demande pas de connaissances particulières. On comprend assez rapidement comment tout fonctionne, ce qui est appréciable pour un produit que l’on installe soi-même. Une fois rempli et en fonctionnement, le résultat est vraiment sympa. Le petit bassin apporte un côté très agréable au jardin et le bruit de l’eau ajoute une ambiance assez reposante. Même sans être particulièrement passionné par les bassins, je trouve que cela donne tout de suite plus de vie à l’endroit où il est installé. J’apprécie particulièrement le choix entre plusieurs fontaines. Cela permet de modifier un peu le rendu selon ses goûts et de choisir l’effet qui correspond le mieux à l’emplacement. C’est un petit détail, mais cela évite d’avoir exactement la même décoration que tout le monde. Le format est également intéressant pour un jardin ou une terrasse, puisqu’il ne nécessite pas de prévoir une installation énorme. On peut créer un petit point d’eau décoratif sans devoir se lancer dans la construction d’un véritable bassin enterré. La pompe fait correctement son travail et permet de maintenir la circulation de l’eau avec les différents embouts de fontaine. Une fois installé, l’ensemble est vraiment agréable à regarder et apporte une petite touche « nature » au jardin. Conclusion : Très belle surprise. Le montage est hyper simple et intuitif, le résultat est vraiment joli et les différentes possibilités de fontaine permettent de personnaliser un peu l’installation. C’est une chouette décoration pour le jardin ou une terrasse et un moyen très simple d’ajouter un petit point d’eau sans entreprendre de gros travaux. Très satisfait !

Es una pasada, fácil de montar y queda muy bonito.

Ottimo laghetto sopra ogni aspettativa! Andata male con il primo ordine, ma il secondo arrivato con cura e nei tempi. Facile il montaggio e de viene messo all esterno meglio una pedana per livellarlo meglio. Pompa carina, ma meglio aggiungere un ossigenatore se oltre le piante si aggiungono anche pesci rossi o medaca. Soddisfatta.
