Decent throw. (throws<blankets). Cables too short. Inquiries on safe extensions avoided
WIth the exception of the cable length, mine arrived exactly as advertised. The dimensions length and width , it's definitely a throw, not a blanket. Of course, I'm referring to length and width but also, the microlight material. Without power, as with any throw, it's not quite as warm as an actual blanket. It's microsoft is doubled up and the wire runs in between, from side to side, in rows roughly 3" apart. The fabric and stranded wire are evenly laid out, preventing awkward bunching and creating even heat distribution, while powered. There are 3 heat settings however, I keep ending up on the highest. There are two more points emphasising the throw vs blanket description here. 1. The microlight fabric doesn't hold in heat as well as a blanket. The 2 hour auto-off. Under normal circumstances, I remember a 2 hour window of sitting around time to be a rare luxury. While were under quarantine, I find myself slowly coming to realize the cold, every couple of hours. The foot pockets are a nice idea. I wasn't expecting the heating element to run through it but, I was hoping it did. It does not. This wouldn't be a problem while sitting on the couch however, I have it on my lap as I'm writing this. Shins are toasty, calves, not so much. The fabric is doubled, on the backside of the, roughly, 18" deep pocket, like the throw itself. All and all, it's a nice feature, just as they are.Mine arrived with a Nema 1-15p moulded on a 6' whip of 16/2 zip hardwired in to the controller, as specified in the add. However, opposed to the listed 12' 6" control cable, mine came in at roughly 4'. It's 16/4 whip, hardwired in to the controller, with a 4 pin, polarized (possibly proprietary? The word, "Throw", is moulded on top), female plug that connects the blanket. This is hardly a deal breaker, for me. The connection point on the throw, is about 12" up the right side (from the users perspective) of a 62" length. I'd say a 36" of cable seems a better fit compared to 150" and, 48"-60" would have been ideal. It's probably a miss-type?The final detail emphasising the departure from the heated blanket category, the lengths of these cables has the users right foot limited to a tight 9' from the power source.. Assuming, most users will want to keep the controller within arms reach, further restricts the builtin reach. It's not obvious in the photos but, both cables exit the controller at the same point. Being separate cables, they are free to move in opposite directions however, allowing cables to dress and fall naturally, with a little leighway for movement, the usable length is actually much lower. When reading through the questions and answers, it's clear the sellers/manufacturer/reps are intentionally dancing around options to bridge a gap between the power and your couch. I would guess it would be easier to get them to pull one of their own teeth before going on record that power from an outlet can be extended with an xyz type product, under xyz circumstances. When it comes down to it, I like the throw,. It might actually deserve an additional star however, I wish had taken the descriptor, "throw" as literally as it's meant. If I had, I would have passed at this price. Instead, I would have gone with a second one of these; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BF28Q0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BF28Q0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.Also, reading through the questions, and the patronizing avoidance tactics, in the sellers/reps answers, are embarrassing. It suggests they are aware of the cable design inadequacy. They do not plan on taking a roll in the customer's need for a solution. They have made a conscious choice to conceal the design has a shortsighted flaw because it's easier to say, "120v wall outlet, only". If I let my cynicism get the better of me, the mistaken cable length in the products description starts looking kind of suspect.

Saves electricity bill, only lasted 3-4 months, but great customer service for replacement
My home office gets super cold and using space heaters wasn't keeping me warm enough, plus it was using way too much electricity. This blanket has been perfect for keeping me warm and functional while working! I've stayed super toasty and it's easy to use the control without even looking (I hang it off my chair arm rest). Our electric and gas bills have actually gone down too because when I get cold, I use this instead of a space heater or increasing the house temperature. My only complaint is that it stopped working within 3-4 months of gentle (albeit daily) use. It was not washed and it was only on top of my lap during use, so that was pretty unacceptable. This would typically lead to a 1 star rating except customer service has been amazing. I only had to register my product and within 4 hours of my first email, they had a replacement approved to mail to me. I'm waiting for the replacement now. So, as long as the product is working, it's incredible, but a product like this should last WAY longer than 3-4 months. At least customer service has been amazing so far and I hope the new blanket will not be defective.

Perfect for a personal blanket!
Bought this for my husband's cold feet as a gift! We already have two Beauty rest queen sized heated throws. Those became too heavy for my husband to toss off and on, this one is super lightweight. He keeps using this one though, and loves it! Easy to clean (in washer), super soft, doesn't hold lint/hair! The only "complaint" he has is that it turns off too quickly, and sometimes it doesn't come back on soon enough even after unplugging & waiting before turning it back on. (One of our other blankets has this problem, and the power switch gets a bit warm at times too. Idk if this is "normal", but one of our blankets does not do this!)

Doesn’t last long
I loved this blanket until it broke only two months into use. The lights on the controller just blink which I read indicates a broken cord. I’m not sure why the cords would be broken, I only have ever washed it one time and it stays in the same spot on my couch all the time.

Mediocre at best
This product is definitely not the worst quality I've ever encountered, but there are a few things you should consider if you're going to purchase:1.Gets hot in the wired remote area when it's turned off, but still plugged in. This makes me think it can possibly start a fire if you leave it plugged in for a long time.2. The cord is really awkward in length and design.3. The blanket is thin, so unless you buffer your skin, the hottest setting will literally burn you, as you can see and feel the heating wire within it.I purchased this for 30$ so I'm not complaining, but it's really not something I would buy again or gift someone.

Great Blanket but 2hr Auto Shutoff
This blanket is very soft and I loved the little pocket for your feet; it really made a difference. Over all it was VERY soft and good quality. My only complaint was it auto shut off after 2 hrs. Auto shut off is a safety feature for all electric blankets but I needed it to stay on at least 6-8 hrs before it shut off. Many times I'd wake up cold after falling a sleep with only the blanket on me. This may not be an issue for some, Unfortunately I had to return because I'd that, but other than that I really liked it.

Cozy
I gifted to my boyfriend who was going through Radiation treatments. He was cold, especially his feet. Liked the feet pockets. He really appreciated the warmth and coziness of it.... he felt like he was in a warm embrace Unfortunately, after about 2 months the unit stopped working. Had to get a replacement. It was an easy transaction. Had the new one within a couple days.... much to his delight.

Disappointed
This product is too big and awkward. The material is also too lightweight and slippery--the blanket keeps sliding away. It seems to heat rather unevenly and the controller slides to the floor or where-ever, meaning you are always searching for it. My elderly mother tried it and it did not work out at all. I tried it after her, and also found it lacking. Because we have used it (and I threw the box away) I will keep it, but will probably donate it to Goodwill.

Warning International Customers, DE Picks doesn't pay for return of received broken items
Wow, the worst customer experience I have had on Amazon. Bought two electric blankets as Christmas gifts for my wife. One was the Beautyrest Foot pocket and one half the price from another brand. The cheap blanket heats well. The Beautyrest blanket from DE Picks doesn’t heat everywhere. Wife says about half the blanket heats and even the area that do heat are barely detectable. She asked for it to be sent back as it is useless. Seems there could be better quality control in checking blankets before selling. Went back and forth on the Amazon website. Finally got a label to package and return the item. Couldn't get a clear answer who to ship with and that it was prepaid. Went to Canada Post to ship and they wanted $40! Obviously that wasn't acceptable. Emailed back DE Picks. They did reply but this time said their policy is to not pay for returns of non-functional items for international customers (non-USA). Well, that was hard to believe. I called Amazon.ca about the issue. The customer rep said that is unacceptable. Apologized on behalf of DE Picks and Amazon and asked me to go ahead and pay for the shipping and contact Amazon back with a copy of the receipt and Amazon will reimburse me and then they will deal with DE Picks. So be warned non-USA customers. You will spend a load of time returning an item received that doesn't work and be out of pocket unless Amazon steps in. Thumbs up to Amazon.ca and the customer rep Torrique.

Best heating blanket ever!
Bought it as a gift for my husband on the recommendation of Amazon customers. His last blanket went on the frits. He absolutely loves it and the safety features. The foot pockets are a huge bonus as he loves to keep his feet warm and cozy.Jan -21- 2022. I'm editing this comment, due to the product no longers works. Husband said blanket started to lose even heating, and then just stop altogether. Kept popping the GFI on the wall outlet.

Throwing the Breaker.
I ordered this throw for cooler days to save on heating the entire house. For the last few weeks it has been cold out and I've used it almost daily and it keeps throwing breakers. I have tried it in various plug-ins. At first I thought too many items were being used at once overloading the system but that is not the case. The breaker is thrown even when it is the only item on that circut.
