A Perfect Game
I don't see any flaws with this one. The art is amazing and highly thematic. The components are good quality. The game plays fast and is easy to learn but has a ton of possibilties on how a game can play out. And the whole thing just flows beautifully. I played this with my wife and she immediately asked me to leave it out so that we could play again the same weekend. If you like big gameplay in small packages this game is definiteily worth a try. Add it to your collection with Imperius, Conspiracy: Abyss, Grifters, Lost Cities, Coup, and Inheritors.

Vikings on a cruise
I took this travel-sized game with me on a cruise and it became a favorite. It’s actually pretty easy to learn and you’ll get it after a few rounds. It has great artwork and the components are good quality. The gameplay is crunchy. There’s a handful of strategies to choose from and sometimes you have to switch it up each turn. I just wished the gameplay was a bit longer.

Competitive not conflictual
Great, quick board game. We've gotten a lot of value for the money. I've sat down with three others to play at a coffee shop more than once. It's competitive without being conflictual. I'd recommend.

A fine game, but a bit overpriced for what it is.
This is a nifty little tableau/engine-builder where you periodically need to destroy part of your engine to add on a useful upgrade. The rules are simple yet satisfying. The art is pretty. Table presence and component quality are good. There aren't many interesting decisions to make though. In theory you can plan a couple turns ahead, but depending on the player count things change so rapidly you're lucky if you can plan for just one round. That's certainly a legitimate game loop in general, to where you need to weigh your decisions based on how likely you are to attain certain goals, especially if you look at your opponents' setups and figure out what they're likely trying to do. Both so that you might try to block them by taking what they need, and so that you can perhaps avoid investing in a particular idea because you see others are probably competing for many of the same cards. So not a deep or complex game, but satisfying enough for a couple of plays. Unfortunately after 3 plays over the course of 3 months, my gaming group is done with it. At a $30 price point, I feel a bit stung. It's a decent enough time filler, but nothing amazing and something that many people will tire of pretty quick I think. So it would have made more sense to scale back the quality a bit and make it $20 or so I think. Almost gave it just 3 stars, but the quality is indeed nice and the game isn't bad. Just don't expect it to be anyone's favorite, and don't be surprised if you wind up getting bored of it pretty quickly.

Clever and unique mechanic that is so easy to teach, yet deep and strategic
This game has gotten a lot of buzz and it is all warranted. When I read through the directions, I knew immediately that this was going to be incredible and I was not mistaken. The mechanics of this game are incredibly clever and interconnected. Everything flows perfectly and it can be easily learned and taught. The game's winning condition can be reached by making decisions that follow multiple paths and this is a trademark of an outstanding game. The footprint of the box is so small that it is hard to believe that the game has the feel and table presence of a much larger and epic board game. The components (which consist primarily of cards) are top rate. The game has got a nice set of replayable features. Although I have not yet utilized them, there is a set of artifacts that mix things up a bit, as well as some other variable rules. This board game is a fantastic experience and should most certainly be a part of every gamer's collection. The viking theme is not just "pasted on" but seems to make sense. To top it all off, the price point is amazing. Just buy this!

Beautiful Artwork
Really enjoyed our first playthrough of this game. Mechanics are simple enough to pick up on quickly, but the game does still require some planning and forethought as you move through. A previous reviewer likened this to Splendor and I have to agree. Note: We have not yet played with artifacts or advanced player boards. Even without those elements, I think this deserves a place on board game shelves! Knarr's straightforward mechanics, gorgeous artwork, quick gameplay, and small form factor will make this a game night classic.

Great game
This game is so fun! It is easy to teach, fun to play and doesn’t get old so lots of playability! It is small box so highly portable! The game requires enough strategy to keep the game interesting. The quality and feel of the pieces is very good. The quality is not top notch, but close enough to make me happy! I suspect people may overlook the game because the name isn’t recognizable but because it is a Pandasaurus game, I am hoping it will be noticed! Recommended!

suitable for non-regular gamers
easy to teach, nice components, quick game to play when you have 30min to spare. I like how the mechanism for point scoring morphs as the game goes along
