Ok, after searching through all the fitting instructions, watching the video on the website, reading all the info on this listing and all the reviews... I still didn’t know how to actually open this gate once installed. I feel a bit silly, but I’m just putting it here incase anyone else is in the same boat! After several days of pushing and pulling and being unable to work out what the seemingly useless little catch on top of the gate is for - I have now worked out that you slide the catch back, lift the gate right up until the magnet releases and then open... The gate looks great, and it’s so far held off the advances of my overly zealous 1 year old. The advice is to tighten up the wall screws every few days or so as they will work loose, and that seems accurate so far. It swings itself shut behind you which is great, and it always catches and locks. You do have to line it up just right when installing it, which takes a few attempts at tightening all the wall screws evenly. But it looks like once it’s in, it’s in. The space we had to fit was 102cm, so had to get the extenders and they were a doddle to fit together and look totally fine. So yeah, overall I’m happy and apart from the slightly fiddly opening mechanism, I’m happy. Having spent a few days battling with the gate, I do totally understand the negative reviews on here about the catch coming loose etc - if you don’t open it just right (tricky when carrying a squirmy child) then it will take a beating. But once I cracked it, I haven’t had any issues since.

Perfect for the narrow kitchen doorway. We measured it at about 73cm so all the larger gates were way too wide. I did get a cheaper gate from a supermarket that was useless so got this gate. It was highly rated on various review sites but the price was higher than similar models for wider doorways. Honestly felt like I was paying a width tax. Installation was super simple and the autoclose feature does work well. Opening with one hand is easy enough and is a simple slide catch and lift gate action, so perfect for moving items from kitchen to living room. Autoclose is also handy as gate being left open is no longer an issue.

Don’t have kids but I got three cats and the new one is not getting along with the residents cats. So I have to introduce them more slowly, than what we did with the first two. Flat is small so we needed something to fit in the hallway (standard sizes was way to big), this fits perfectly and the kitties can’t get through the gaps. Hopefully this helps. Will donate to my friend, with a new baby once we’re done. Perfect size, feels sturdy enough (happy it comes with screws in case it isn’t sturdy enough and definitely prefer that it’s black, rather than the gross looking white ones. Struggling to figure out how to open it but that’s exactly what you want, so your kid can’t figure it out either. Would suggest for people with small hallways.

I bought this item well in advance of trying to install it but checked it all out when it arrived and it seemed to be just what I wanted . However there was a tie strap fitted that prevented it opening and there were strict instructions not to cut this tie until the gate had been installed. When I did install the gate I discovered that the top opening button did not function and did not seem to be connected to the the central lock, so it would not open (ie not a case of being jammed or sticking - just pressing in and doing nothing). Unfortunately due to the delay in me installing it More than a month had passed so it could not be returned throgh Amazon. Wasted considerable time and energy and have No faith in this product that on the surface looked very good quality,

Kurz und knapp gesagt, Einbau in wenigen Minuten, sehr einfache Handhabung, Werkzeug wird nicht dabei benötigt, sitzt fest. Ich suchte nach einem Schutzgitter, wegen meinen 52 cm hohen Hund, für meine Tür zum Schlafzimmer. Da die Breite nicht Normgerecht war, brauchte ich ein Gitter was nicht so breit war, aber es sollte schon einfach in der Handhabung sein und stabil. Diesen Zweck erfüllt das Gitter in allen lagen. Bin damit zu frieden, würde es sogar wieder kaufen, wenn es mal kaputt gehen sollte.

Grinden har ingen låsmekanism alls som fungerar. Direkt olämplig och måste anses vara helt värdelös. Instruktioner beskriver inte om man ska låsa på annat sätt än att dra spärren bakåt. Men spärren har absolut ingenting att fästa i. Köp inte denna produkt!

Nous n'avons pas beaucoup de choix car l'escalier est étroit et je dois dire que je suis satisfaite, la qualité semble au rendez-vous, la livraison est rapide, la barrière est belle, le mode d'emploi est simple et l'installation se fait rapidement. Je recommande fortement. Le bouton pour ouvrir ne sert à rien car il suffit juste de soulever la barrière et le loquet s'ouvre de lui même, même si on a fermé la barrière comme indique sur le mode d'emploi mais c'est pas plus mal car ça n'empêche que le jour où l'enfant arrivera à soulever la barrière pour l'ouvrir n'est pas arrivé... je tiens à préciser que ce n'est pas un simple soulèvement il faut la soulever sur plusieurs centimètre. J'ai ajouté des protections pour le mur.
