Best chicken accessory I’ve ever bought!
Temperature of water, scald time, and speed of drill are all factors to consider. We culled 22 broilers yesterday and this made an entire afternoon chore into a 3.5hr task. There is a slight learning curve but it was easy to get the hang of and easy to use. Only tore one’s breast skin and it was only an inch tear. We got it down to less than two minutes from scald to plucked. The white rubber is definitely sturdy and also more flexible than the black rubber. I thought it seemed a little expensive for just the drill attachment but I’m happy I bought it and would buy another if something happened to this one. I saw another reviewer said theirs rusted but we did not experience this

Great product
You can pluck a lot of birds with this fast just mount the drill solid to something and make where you can control the speed and just start plucking mounting to try on a feeder pig to see if it will work on deferring just as easily

Should have purchased one sooner!
The drum pluckers are a lot more convenient and quicker but this drill attachment is FAR better than plucking by hand. The only issue I had was that I still had to hand pluck the large wing and tail feathers. But I was processing older birds so that may have been part of the issue. Either way, it was easy to use and made the job much quicker than doing it all by hand. Also, it does make a big mess and you might want to wear goggles ... my eye glasses were pretty messy when I was done.

Perfectly plucked
I processed 20 pekin ducks with the plucker. The ducks were 7 weeks old and about 7 lbs, perfect time to put in the freezer. After the first 5 I had the temperature and time for scalding dialed in,160 degrees and 2 minutes 20 seconds. The plucker takes about a minute to get most of the feathers. A little hand plucking and you're done. I had the drill firmly mounted, a quality 3/8 makita. A half inch drill would work even better, maybe a right angle.

Worth it.
It makes a hell of a mess with feathers going everywhere so definitely should be done where you don’t mind it or can easily be cleaned up. But I do have to say it’s considerably easier and faster than doing it by hand! If you can’t afford a barrel type plucker this is the next best thing. Definitely worth it.

Worked GREAT! Strapped my drill with metal plumbing straps and it worked like a charm.
Great product. Don't run your drill wide open or you can damage the bird. Would recommend wearing some goggles. haha. Would 1000% recommend!

Terrible product
This plucker is impossible to use, especially if you're working alone. It doesn't work on legs, tears the skin and meat, and gets caught up in the wings. If hadn't missed my return window, I would have returned it.

Fantastic!
My husband and daughter used this for the first time on the weekend and were very impressed. The learning curve was minimal and they were able to process 15 chickens in under a couple of hours. The plucker did a fantastic job, even got rid of pin feathers. So much easier than hand plucking. We would highly recommend this plucker.

Good product once you get used to it
This little plucker worked well. Once attached to the drill, we clamped the drill to the fence so we didn't have to hold it. Took some getting used to....such as keeping your fingers out of the way and how close to hold the bird to the nipples, but once we got the hang of it, it worked well. Although we still hand to hand pluck a few of the wing feathers. Very decent product.

Surprenamment efficace
