No, it doesn't. I just rubbed the paste on and rinsed off outside in the garden.

is the Astonish oven cleaner suitable for oven trays and shelves

Yes, but you might be better off getting one of the products by Oven Mate for those. Put them in the plastic bag provided with the product and let it do all the work because of all the fiddly bits. Astonish is amazing and I always use it on the glass door with a wet cloth. It comes up a treat with very little effort. I think it would be very time consuming to clean oven racks with Astonish though, unless they were only lightly soiled. Hope that helps.

Can you use it on induction hob

I don't know for sure but I don't think it should be a problem so my answer would be yes.
