A really nice system for smaller room secondary TV viewing - but install decisions are critical...
A really nice system when the HDMI implementation is used (cable not included) so other TV remotes can control the sound, in our case, a Roku Stick 4K remote. Sound is great for smaller rooms where not a lot of bass is required. For us, this is a huge improvement over the almost unusable TV sound on our 2022 Samsung - 43" Class 7 Series TV. Build quality is excellent, better than some units costing twice as much, nor is the soundbar large or intrusive, just the right size for a 43" TV or larger (with smaller TVs soundbar width may exceed the TV). HDMI eARC was a bit tricky to setup, see below. The included Sony Soundbar remote is also of high quality and provides different sound fields to select depending on what you are watching, and there is also an automatic option. We found a desired setting for us, and use just the Roku remote for all of our sound and TV control. HDMI eARC issue and fix: At first, with everything setup properly, we kept getting sound through the TV, not the soundbar (wondering if some of the poor sound quality reviewers are inadvertently still listening to their TV speakers.) The fix: power off the TV and soundbar by unplugging for five minutes. Pull all other devices on HDMI ports off the TV, in our case, a Roku Stick. After the time has passed, and with only the Soundbar connected via the eARC HDMI port, use the TV remote, the Samsung in our case, to power on the TV. This forces the TV to see the eARC connected Soundbar and recognize it (as long as you have set HDMI-CEC, or brand name equivalent, to "on" in the TV setup menu). After reinstalling other devices, in our case the Roku Stick, the device (Roku) remote will immediately began controlling the Soundbar. (Why brands use different names for this HDMI-CEC feature is a mystery, and just adds unnecessary confusion.) In case anyone is interested, we installed the soundbar with a Dream Mount soundbar mount bracket ($20) to the TV sitting on a TV wall mount of same brand. You do have to uninstall the existing TV mount brackets on the TV (not the wall), and place the soundbar brackets underneath and reinstall, sounds harder than it is, but TV dismount is required, as are longer mount screws, which are provided. As the pic shows, looks like a professional installation with the soundbar moving with the TV on this full motion TV mount. Super happy with this setup.

Such a small price for a huge sound upgrade over budget and smaller TVs
This is a combined review of the Amazon Fire TV 43" Omni Series 4K UHD smart TV and Sony S100F 2.0ch Soundbar. This is a perfect package for under $400 for the TV AND soundbar. I recommend it for smaller rooms, exercise videos, a portable or spare TV, a large kitchen, and a portable deck/patio TV. The TV sound is what you'd expect from almost any TV. It wouldn't have noticed if the display wasn't so good. Enter the Sony Soundbar. It provides a simulated theater experience and strong sound for outdoor. This soundbar provides everything you'd want for small to medium TVs. I found an open box in excellent condition for $60. If you want a larger theater experience, you'll want a more premium system with at least a subwoofer. I love this bar, and it's fit for this purpose. It's the best upgrade to complete your viewing experience. The Omni TV was one of the best finds and values. I wanted a lightweight TV for a rolling stand to use as a guest TV and a football TV on the deck. When this popped up as a Prime sale for $270, I couldn't resist. As a nerd, I compared options under $500 before narrowing it to this size and model. Many reviews say the 55" version is a better viewing experience. If so, I can't imagine how good it must be. This is on par with our older Sony TVs for picture quality in a smaller size. It does not have the higher natural refresh rate you might want for gaming. It's bright enough to watch in full daylight, but reflections degrade the image. Initially, I thought about buying a larger size for the deck. The size, weight, and quality of this one make it a perfect mobile TV, and I won't upsize it.

Good, not great, fari value for cost
I agree with many other reviews. We got an upscale Samsung OLED TV and the speakers are pretty disappointing. So went searching for a sound bar. For $100 this is not a bad upgrade compared to the built in speakers on this 1/4 thick TV. But do not expect anything great. My main issue was improved voice/dialogue and this is better than the TV speakers but still not as good as I would like. I guess my suggestion would be to try find a display of speaker bars to see what you like if possible. If I had not bought this, I would have spent another $100 or so to see if that would be better. Anyway, set up: If my understanding is correct, you need an HDMI blah, blah, blah cable if you want the sound bar to on-off with your TV. I bought one, because the sound bar comes with only an 'optical' cable. Who knows what all this means? You got to be an electronics/audio expert to understand this stuff. So, plug it all in and hang on. Its not all that difficult to set up but there are dozens of things to choose from in the set up. What is best? Who knows. I spent a time trying this trying that and good luck getting remotes to sync up. Suggestion: there are several pretty good YouTube videos for this specific sound bar and I would recommend watching a couple to get an idea what is what. Maybe watch them before you buy. Oh, the cable I bought was 3 feet, were I to buy it again, i would have gotten 4 or 5 feet. The 3 foot cable just reaches on my Samsung TV so I suppose depending where your plug in is, you might need a longer cable. You will learn all about arc e connections, optical cables,....... hold on to your hat. The connections are not RCA cable plug ins any more. Bottom line, not bad for $100 and noticeably better than the lousy TV speakers. And unless you want to rattle the windows I don't think the bass is bad. Long winded review I suppose. Sum it up: better than TV speakers, not great for voice but OK, not simple to get working with other remotes, need to buy a cable, not bad for the price

Fantastic quality
Absolutely love this soundbar. Using with an LG TV and Apple TV for streaming. Took me less than 10 min to unbox, plug in, sync the remote with Apple TV, and test it before putting on a show. The sound is fantastic, the remote is easy to use if you use the one that came with it but also easy to control via the Apple TV remote. Couldnโt get a better soundbar for the price. Sound is crisp, clear, full. It projects well too. Very happy with my purchase.

No regrets 4 years later
Bought in 2022. I still love everything about this sound bar! It packs a punch and was a huge upgrade for my cheap Roku TV (which it has outlived now). We currently use it with our Fire Stick and older Samsung TV. Connects so easily and projects sound very well. I occasionally use the Bluetooth with my phone too for music. Bummed to see only 4 stars - no regrets, still absolutely in love with this purchase.

Meh
So, we put our house on the market which meant the home theater speakers and stereo became victims of the declutterring process. We left the tv mounted to the wall with an Amazon Fire Stick on the wall but our tv doesnโt have speakers. We settled on this as our temporary solution figuring we can use it with our bedroom tv once we move. Well, like most things, you get what you pay for. Itโs not horrible by any means, and if you use it for watching tv, itโs adequate for most tastes. Bass is weak overall (understandably) and it gets pretty loud but itโs not quality sound. Our tv is older so connecting it to the speaker was a little trial and error. We had to use the optical cable (which I have to disconnect during showings so I donโt have wires hanging down (the optical cable is really short so I canโt run it behind the wall like my other cables)). It was easy to link my iPhone (Bluetooth) for music but again, the sound quality is just barely passable. I wouldnโt recommend this for music lovers as it will likely disappoint. Itโs a cheap band aid for us till we sell our home and I can get my system set up at our new place. Iโm really missing my powered subwoofer but Iโll make it for a couple months. Not even sure weโll keep this soundbar for the bedroom at this point.

Should have gotten sooner
One of the best sound bars I have ever had. It's loud, comes with a boatload of options and customizations, doesn't talk to remind you to connect like my previous, looks amazing, the connection is strong 18 ft away, the sound is crisp and clear.

Good as TV Speaker Alternative, not that great if you are looking for a BT speaker for music!
Decent soundbar, if you need higher volume than your TV speakers, but if your idea is to also use this as a BT speaker in your living room/bedroom, it is pretty mediocre. This speaker lacks base, and I'd have thought at that price point, there would be at least some bass packed in. As a TV speaker replacement/alternative, it does it's job well.

Just what I need
I've got moderate hearing loss and need a sound bar for my Sony Bravia 3 TV, nothing else, just standard tv watching for programs and movies. This is perfect. Set up in 10 seconds, clear diction, couldn't ask for better.

Excellent voice clarity and great value for money
Very good soundbar for the price (8k). The voice clarity is excellent, especially for movies, TV shows, and YouTube. Dialogue sounds much clearer than the TV speakers, and the sound is loud enough for a normal-sized room. Bass is decent for a compact 2.0-channel soundbar, although you should not expect deep subwoofer-level bass. Setup is very easy and the Bluetooth connectivity works well. For even better sound quality, adjust the equalizer (EQ) settings on your mobile or TV according to your preference. Overall, a good choice if you mainly want clearer and louder TV audio without spending too much.
