It's either on or off with a medium sized dead zone, and that's largely up to the radio's programmability. I wouldn't use anything but a digital, screen equipped, programable transmitter for this. A true relay, it has normally open and normally closed terminals with a common contact, so it can be configured several ways. I am using this for a remote starter motor on an auxiliary channel in a nitro powered drift car. That starter motor pulls a lot of juice, but this relay handles it nicely. It's a solid value, just know it isn't plug and play, you should be familiar with your transmitter's capabilities before hand.
