Super cute for a kids party. Easy and fun to do!

This craft was easy and affordable for my kid’s harvest fest project. The only down side was that it came with paint brushes, but did not come with paint. Which to me was very odd. However we used paint markers and they came out really good!

I did not realize it doesn’t come with paint. And also the kids lost interest when trying to put it together with the string/chiles. But we had fun creating them.

I expected everything to be included, but no paint.

This was super fun! My kids enjoyed it! I wish I would have opened it up sooner to learn it didn’t have paint! Just paint brushes!! I’m glad I had stuff on hand!

This is a strange kit. Pieces are really cheap, there were no directions included - it's not a complex craft but it also takes some figuring out. The kids ended up abandoning this and making bracelets instead, this ended up in the trash.

Fun idea and adorable flamingo's when done. The one in the photo was made by me, so a kid's might not look so great. I plan to do this with a friend's kids. I also got the one with the hedgehogs. Unless someone has an insane amount of children, I wouldn't say the entire kit is a good gift, since there are 12 flamingos included. The yard would be covered in flamingos! That is unless the kid's give them as gifts to others. Also, if given as a gift, you probanly would want to include paint. The only paint really needed is yellow and pink. I'd suggest a good amount of pink too, unless the kids want rainbow flamingos.The flamingo when completed will be adorable and look nice even if the kid just created a pink blob. The jewel stickers are an nice touch and might sparkle a little in the sun. It is not really possible to do the detail on the flamingo as they have in their pictures on the instructions. I couldn't figure out how to get the wings to show. I drew detail with pencil and then painted but as you can see it pretty much just ended up pink. I figured that looks best. I had fun doing it. So I imagine most kids would. They will need help getting the rope/ribben through the little holes in the wooden flamingo. They go through the chimes easily. The silver rope (which is very strudy) frays when you feed it through. I just kept clipping off the frayed end until I succeeded at getting it through.I definitely suggest the flamingo's over the hedgehogs. The hedgehogs come with the same components and setup, with the only difference being that their are five different looking wooden peices (all hedgehogs but in different positions). Unless, the kid is an artist, I fear most of the hedgehogs will not look at all like hedgehogs but rather brown blobs (or colorful).

We got these for my girls birthday party. The kits are fun and easy to assemble. The wood paints pretty easily and is a pretty fun craft. You do have to be careful with the paint because it doesn't clean off super well from clothes.
