KEEN Utility Men's PTC Slip On 2 Kitchen Food Service Shoes

I love Keen footwear. I've probably owned 12 or 15 over the years. Everything from sandals to non slip kitchen shoes to hiking boots to winter boots. They're always true to size, and they wear great. I bought one pair of kitchen shoes and they had a seam that rubbed me bad. Gave them to a coworker who still wears them. The only thing bad I could say is the insoles seem to wear out fast. Those are replaceable. Love the toe guard on all their shoes. I'll buy them over and over again. UPDATE: I've worn them for 2 days around home and the leather is already cracking, or appears to be. This does not bode well for the life of the shoe. Comfy as hell, though. Will try them at work tomorrow. Update: 10/29/22. Been wearing these for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, in a harsh kitchen environment. On my feet that whole time. Since I got these broken in, I haven't worn either of my other kitchen shoes. Love em. What I initially thought was going to be a failure in the leather uppers has turned out to just be creasing, and I live in a very dry environment. The soles have lost some of their slip resistant pattern, becoming smooth around the balls of my feet, and there's a little fraying of the sole beginning to show on one side. All to be expected after hundreds of hours of hard use. What brought me to edit this review is that I'm about to buy another pair. Beautiful, clean design, super durable, and super easy to clean and keep looking professional. This will be my kitchen work shoe as long as they keep making them, and probably for years after. My SAS, which cost twice as much, have sat in my locker for over a year unused. Nuff said.

I'm a registered nurse, on my feet for huge swathes of time during the day. Good footwear is a key to having a good day. I'd always liked the idea of clogs but had a disastrous trial with a pair of Crocs (not enough arch support lead to horrendous foot pain) and I couldn't quite bring myself to test-driving Danskos (expensive!). I'd had great success with a pair of Keen hiking shoes, so I decided to take advantage of Amazon's "Try Before You Buy" program. Needless to say, I kept them and am so happy. The first few try-ons will feel very tight just getting into the shoe (but not over-tight when on). Don't worry -- a few days of wear will help them break in to your foot. Since then, slipping in and out of these puppies is a snap, but I've never had any concerns about security when wearing them. They comfortably hug my feet while providing hiking-shoe quality support -- a total win in my line of work. The soles are supposedly designed as "no-slip", and while I haven't actually slipped, I wouldn't say they're off-the-charts grippy, either. The grip is on par (possibly slightly better) with the court shoes I've been using for years. Overall, the comfort and support these shoes provide is what sets them apart. I'm very pleased to have such a great shoe at a good price.

I don’t think I’ve found a shoe this good for long hours on my feet in the 18 years I’ve spent on concrete and tile floors in kitchens and retail. My body is all kinds of messed up from it and honestly a podiatrist is in my near future. Getting back to work after a long time out during the pandemic was a huge wake up call for my feet though…Being back on those hard hard floors, I was in excruciating pain every day and night. Heel? Stabbing pain. Midfoot? As though it were full of broken glass. Toes? Broken. All radiating through my calves, ankles, knees, up to my back. My days off were spent hobbling around. MISERY. No shoe will totally solve what concrete and tile will do. No shoe facing 30 or more hours a week of abuse can be expected to truly hold up for more than a year. They will start to hurt your feet even before the shoe fails externally. It just makes sense given what a shoe is vs all 200 lbs of me. But I am feeling a lot better in these than in my worn out blundstones (and better than when they were new, too). Only a little pain. I have much of my life back. I actually do things on my feet outside of work. I’ve tried Hokas, they hurt and I didn’t like my foot not bending. Danskos, Birkenstock clogs—both HARD no. Mozos, fell apart. Shoes for crews…lol. These keens just have a list of nice support especially in the heel, but my foot can still bend. They don’t have that typical clog thing going on where your foot has to work to keep them on, they just feel like a shoe. I didn’t experience them as tight across the top of my foot which is sometimes a thing and I LOVE the room in the toe. No break in period with these which is great. I do not have time to be in pain. I see what others mean about the slip resistance but to be honest I have never fully trusted a slip resistant shoe and I move with caution. The right shoe has a little questionable assembly where the rubber toe and leather meet, but I decided to keep them knowing how many returns wind up in landfills. I’d buy these again when they wear out.

I've worked in restaurants since I was 16. Chuck Taylors and Vans, Airwalks, they did the job they needed to. And that's when companies still actually made a product that held up for the tasks you bought them for. Then Culinary School. Graduated up to professional grade ass kickers. But chefs blow through shoes. Crocs, Sketchers, Dr. Scholl's, 2 or 3 pairs. Avg last about 6 months. Then back pain, and uneven bottoms just getting shredded, wet socks after a 12 hour day is the last thing .... I've seen people swear up and down about Birkenstocks, nah.... Danskos, are the "holy grail". Maybe but for a lot of kitchen guys, dropping 200-300 for a pair of clogs is a nice thought, but rent isnt cheap either. Well, I think I found the answer. And I wear them every day, even when I'm not working. These are really great. Comfortable, durable, they feel solid all the way around. The non slip bottoms are fantastic. And they work in tandem with the soles to make them so easy to wear, if wake up from a nap I forget I'm wearing them. $135-140 dollars is far more than I would normally spend on shoes marked for a quick end, but I can say for sure, if they last me a year or more. No question, I'd pay it again. I've owned a lot of work shoes, but nothing like these.

As a professional chef, I’m always on the lookout for a comfortable, durable shoe for those long hours spent on my feet in the kitchen, navigating wet greasy floors. These shoes are super comfortable so far (second full day in). They appear to be well made, but I am a little concerned about the hard shell heel piece getting crushed because you really have to push hard to get your foot into these. Size wise, next time I will go a half size bigger than I normally would Where they fall way short is in what should be the easiest part of the shoe to get right: the non skid sole. Even the cheapo work shoes from the big box stores have good non slip soles. With these, I feel like I’m on skates every time I walk into the dish pit. If the soles were nice and non slip, I’d rate these 5 stars. Do better, Keen. EDIT 9/7/2022: credit where credit is due. 2 weeks in, the soles have broken in and hit their stride. They are super grippy. Best chef shoe I’ve had in my 30+ year culinary career. Buy these.

In the summer of 2011, I bought my first pair of Keens. I was a new nurse. I was young and had heard from Chris (the Mountain Man) that Keens would be my feet's best friend. Bought 'em at an outdoor supply/farm and fleet store and fell in love with them immediately. My 12- to 17-hour shifts on my feet haven't felt like 12 or 17 hours (well, maybe emotionally). Here we are well into 2015, and my first pair of Keens are still great. But maybe I better get another pair (just in case, right?). Jumped online and snagged these slip-ons because, as a nurse, I really don't like the idea of getting C. diff by the mere action of untying or tying shoes. Imagine my excitement (think: little boy on Christmas morning), when the delivery truck arrived. Happy feet! Well, this little boy's Christmas morning excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Sure, they're comfortable, and the slip-on quality is nice. But those are givens for this brand. They are a bit wide. Maybe they need to be to slip them on easily, but my feet definitely move more than in the tie-up kind. The biggest concern, though? Sometime between 2011 and 2015 Keen has changed their material to a much lower quality. They arrived with a crease in the top that's not supposed to be there. And I can just "feel" the difference. And they squeak when I walk. These may still help my feet, and I'll still wear them to work (my patients don't care about a crease in the top as long as I'm helping them feel better), but I have this gut feeling I won't be able to wait 4 1/2 years to get my next pair...maybe that's what Keen's going for. I dunno. UPDATE TO ABOVE REVIEW: After about a month of casual wear, the insoles fell apart. Of course, I've passed the deadline for a refund...gotta go through the warranty claim process with Keen. Very poor quality. Previously a huge Keen fan...now very disappointed. Looking at other brands now.

Highly durable and comfortable. I bought my first pair back in January 2018 and my wife got me a new pair for Christmas. I am a security guard and put 9 miles minimum on them weekly. The inserts will need to be replaced every so often but overall I’m completely satisfied. I’ll still probably use the old pair for a comfy slip on.

This is my third pair They're extremely comfortable . I work in a kitchen the downside is that for a hundred and thirty dollars, they should last longer then seven months!

These are the best shoes.

I purchased these as a replacement for discontinued KEEN Men's Austin Slip-On Loafer (favourite shoe of all time), and find them to be suitable replacements, having the same quality comfort and craftsmanship that I have come to expect and demand from KEEN. I have limited mobility; hiking is the only exercise I am capable of, and KEEN is the only company that makes a shoe that I can stand in or walk all day. The only difference that I would prefer is that if these came in full grain leather like the Austin's, so if you don't mind people thinking you work in a hospital or a kitchen, these are great shoes with an unbeatable price quality index.

普段より大き目のサイズを選ぶ方が良い、とのコメントが目立ったので、普段、２６㎝か２６．５㎝の靴を履いている僕は２７㎝のものを購入しました。スリッポンタイプなので、足の幅的にはちょうどでしたが、靴の中で余裕があり調整の必要があったため、市販の、靴が大き目の際に入れる靴の先端に入れる中敷きや、かかと部分に張るシートを入れています。１日２６０００歩以上歩く日が続きましたが、足が痛くなる、疲れると言ったことは一切なく、この靴を選んでよかったです。

Got it in 20 days as it was shipped from america but got is abit smaller for me as us size and aus size differ. Got refund and very professional customer service. Thanks Amazon

Been wearing them for 3 weeks straight, middle of the road overall for cushioning, good for walking, climbing ladders, work(electrician) and they dont leak. I dont overheat and dont get cold feet. Seem well built. Slip on with no effort and dont flop around. I have a wide foot and barely a size 14 and they fit perfect as per size. Bonus is that they dont make my feet look huge and ive even worn them to a few nicer outings and im glad i did. Would buy again 100%
