Held opened hope chest lid about 35#’s needed two though

This product stinks. Measurements don't line up. Customer service doesn't know anything. I got holes in curly maple and black walnut. Garbage. Total trash. Documentation is crap. How to install is crap.

This works great on my storage ottoman. Every couple years I have to replace these so that’s why I give it 4 stars. Otherwise, it works great for my purposes. I can imagine these being a pain if you’re starting from scratch but it’s a one time thing, hopefully.

Easy to install but needed to use 3 hinges in order to ensure the wooden toy chest cover would not drop too quickly.

I bought both the left and right springs for replacement on a piece of furniture. It turns out that they are not even as strong as my 20+ year old pieces. When you look at my photo, you will see why. Look how much thicker the old spring is (orange colored on the right). I was disappointed and I am returning them.

I'm build 2 toy boxes and need spring loaded supports. These don't work. A stiff breeze would cause them to collapse. Santa needs to find another supplier. They get 1 star since I can't hit submit without it.

I bought these to support a 3/4-inch-thick dresser lid that swings on a piano hinge. I should have known there might be a problem since there was no load value mentioned in the description. The spring tension on these supports is extremely weak.
