Using mine on a 1 x 6 setup. It's using 6 speed chain just fine for over a year now. No tarnish . Working and looking great

It works. Double the price of the sunlite star chain ring (not available in a 40T.) I went from a 44/19 to a 40/18 on a cruiser/klunker for a little easier peddling through the trails without sacrificing too much top end speed.

the classic look of a stock schwinn crank wheel with more teeth and a great gloss black finish. I was able to mount this to a 3 piece crankset by grinding down the stepped spacer provided in the bottom bracket to fit this crank wheel down to 19mm cranks, the stepped edge stuck out to far (made for a thicker traditional bmx chainwheel) but i machined it down so it was flush with this chainwheel and it bolted up perfectly. probably not what it was intended for, but i like the stock look so i had to make it work with my custom schwinn build.

This is good product. It is a 40 tooth sprocket like it says, and good for gear ratio changes. I matched this 40t chain ring with a 22t rear sprocket on my beach cruiser, and giving me more leverage.
