Do you buy a track that is 48 inches for a doorway that is 48 inches or do you buy a bigger track thank you for answering my question?

48” is sliding track’s length,it fit door width 40~44”,if your doorway is 48”,you may need track length 52~54”, We don’t have such bigger size now. Thank you

whats minimum distance between passage opening top and ceiling

Please make sure there's at least 2-1/2" from the top of the openning to ceiling for installation. Please check photo 6.on the listing,which showed the door panel cut drawing. The top side of the door have to be cut a L channel for top sliding rail. Thank you

Great product, requires skill & the right tools

Worked out great!! I needed something without a track due to the placement of my door. I built a wood frame using 2x4's braced with furring strips and stretched canvas fabric over it, so it's very lightweight. It's essentially a piece of art that acts as a hidden door. It definitely requires someone with woodworking skills and the right tools. It would be more difficult to make the required cuts on a full size door. Fortunately, I only had to cut the grooves in 48" long 2x4's which were then assembled to make the frame for the canvas.
