I bought both the spray and the roll-on because I wanted to compare them side by side. The first thing I noticed was that they didn't smell exactly the same at first. The roll-on immediately gave me a beautiful lemon meringue pie vibe, bright lemon, fluffy marshmallow, creamy vanilla, and a fresh-baked dessert quality. The spray, on the other hand, opened sweeter and more candy-like, with the vanilla taking center stage while the lemon stayed in the background. As the fragrance dried down, they became much more similar. Both settled into a soft, powdery vanilla with a gentle tart lemon note that was absolutely beautiful. By the next morning I could still smell it on my wrist, so longevity on my skin is excellent. My personal opinion is that the spray bottle will probably improve after sitting for a few weeks. Right now the roll-on smells richer and more developed, and I've noticed that many Middle Eastern fragrances become smoother and stronger after they've had time to mature. That's just my experience and expectation, it isn't something I've confirmed. Performance surprised me. Some people say Soft doesn't project very much, but on my skin it definitely does. It actually seemed to become stronger as it settled, so I'd recommend going easy on the sprays. For context, I'm a man and I have no problem wearing sweet fragrances. I'm a big, burly guy with long hair—more "Viking" than fashion model, and I think this fragrance works just fine on a man if you enjoy gourmand scents and are confident rocking a sweet scent. I wouldn't hesitate to wear it casually, on a date, or even to the office with a light application. I also live in Arizona, where summer temperatures regularly reach 112–118°F, and I've had no issues wearing it in the heat. It didn't become overwhelming on me, although it definitely has enough strength that I wouldn't overspray. Two sprays max in the heat. This is also a fantastic layering fragrance. I think it would pair beautifully with vanilla, pistachio, matcha, or other gourmand fragrances to create something even more unique. I added a really great sweet layering perfume in my photo. Is it a luxury-smelling fragrance? I wouldn't describe it that way. Instead, I'd call it playful, youthful, comforting, cheerful, and delicious. It smells like something people will naturally enjoy being around. If you love lemon desserts, vanilla, or gourmand fragrances, there's a very good chance you'll love this. For the price, I think it's an outstanding value, and I'm extremely happy I bought both the spray and the roll-on.

I will be re-buying this for the rest of my life. I bought it on a whim and was instantly converted to a fan, that's how quickly I fell in love with this scent. The oil lasts much longer, and I love rubbing it on my pulse points; a little goes a very long way. It's the coziest lemon pound cake, vanilla custardy kind of scent, and it lasts so well on clothes too. I really hope they make a hair mist without alcohol because I'd love to use that along with these. This scent is so good. I bought it in January 2025 and just ran out. I used it often and wore it a lot, so it lasted me a long time. Super good value for the price and longevity. The perfume doesn't project as well as the oil, but I appreciate them pairing both in this bundle for that reason. They work excellently together, and I love layering this with my other gourmand scents.

this is the most heavenly perfect gourmand lemon cake vanilla perfume ever. i would gatekeep this because it’s also so cheap but i can’t resist sharing with other girlies. when i wear this i get stopped in the bathroom or in class by girls asking me what perfume i’m wearing. it’s not a “strong” invasive type of scent, as some gourmands can be. but it’s so sweet and heavenly. the oil roll on can initially give off more of a brisk lemon bar punch, but it mellows out into a beautiful meow lemon loaf cake.

Soft really is a great name for this fragrance. Even though it has great staying power, it's very mild and inoffensive. It would suit anyone from preteens to old ladies (I'm 52). It's pleasant, but I don't get any of the listed notes. It smells lemony and sweet. In the dry-down, I get vanilla with a hint of lemon. No detectable rosemary or neroli, etc. Maybe there's a hint of petitgrain and clary sage, but I've never smelled either as a note by itself. The opening notes of the spray remind me of the Jean Nate body splash from my youth. It dries down to a nice, soft, lemony vanilla cupcake. It does have some pretty great lasting power, but it's never overpowering, and the projection is just about a foot or less. It is not a strong fragrance at all, so you can use it as if it were a body spray or fragrance mist. The oil is quite a bit more lemony in the opening than the spray. It's also a tiny bit stronger scent, and it dries down to the same lemony cupcake as the spray. My skin holds fragrance really well, but this still was smelling great on me at 14 hours when I showered. I think it could easily last for a week or more on clothing. The frosted glass spray bottle is very pretty, but the cap is basically glorified foil. Be careful when you handle it or you'll smash it. The roller bottle is also glass, but the ball is plastic. I had no issues with anything leaking. In all, it's a great value for $10. The boxes are pretty, too, so it would make a good gift.

I LOVE SOFT!! Omg...it's not a scent that's easy to explain as it seems to shift and change and each shift just brings more to love. It's like baby powder mixed with Avon's SSS (Skin So...), but wait...there's more! All of a sudden there is a sweet, citrus (lemon?) coming to the party and other things you can't quite put your finger on. It's intriguing and alluring and delicious. A little goes a LONG way and it lasts and lasts (especially on clothes). This stuff has my heart <3

I had already emptied a rollerball of this, so this was a repurchase for me. Such a pleasing scent for such a great price! This is an easy reach for almost any occasion, and it is one of my most complimented fragrances (and I have a large collection, so that is saying something). It will always be in my collection.

This one took me by surprise. I’ve been obsessed with lemony scents recently and for $7 and some good reviews, I figured why not. Wow. I’m impressed. A little goes a long way. The atomizer is great and you only need one or two sprays for the scent to linger 6 or so hours. The roller ball is an added bonus and lasts about 3 hours on the skin. For the price, it’s worth it. The lemon comes on strong, but not chemically, and the dry down leaves a sweet, light vanilla-cake scent under a sweeter lemon. Honestly, this does better than my $80-$150 bottles of perfume.

I seriously never write reviews, but this one demanded it. Unfortunately for me (and my poor nostrils), this perfume/oil was a hard no. Context: I’ve been on a two-year perfume binge — full gourmand girly. My holy trinity is Kaoli Yum Bougie, Kaoli Vanilla 28, and Commodity Milk. If it smells like dessert, I’m obsessed. Now I know this oil never claimed to be gourmand. I bought it hoping it could be a nice fall layering oil to mix with my gourmands. Spoiler alert: it was not. The moment I opened the box, my soul whispered oh no. The best way I can describe it? Old lady’s bathroom at a retirement hotel. Zero cozy, 100% powdery soap dish. But because I’m a hopeful human, I still put it on before bed to give it a chance. And wow, does it last. It haunted me all night. I woke up every 10 minutes just to confirm, yep, still smells like grandma’s guest towels. Longevity? Incredible. Scent? A crime. So yeah… 5 stars for lasting power. 1 star for smell. If you actually like this scent, congrats, you’ve found your holy grail. For me? Hard pass.
