Working perfectly for me. I have it on the floor of a wide open closet about 8 feet from me and I don't really hear it. I'm not too sure what all the fuss about the fan noise is because I can't hear it. Handles 2.5G and 5G connections along with the 120G connections. This is an exceptiopnal unmanaged switch.

Works flawlessly. I have an 8GB internet connection and two Mac Studios with 10GB adapters. This shares the internet connection with them perfectly, giving each of them the maximum possible when they need it. It obviously doesn't turn my internet connection into a 16GB connection, but both of my computers can use the full 8GB connection when they need it. It shares the 8GB bandwidth between them on demand. It is quiet, has nice lights that flicker for the child inside me, and does what it is supposed to do. I'm happy with my purchase.

Wow, bang for the Bucks! With 5cheap 5Ghz Dongles to USB-C, I have doubled my Ethernet Network Speed on same 2 meter Cat 6 cables! Going for 6 Port 10Ghz and 10Ghz dongles was way expensive. I set dongle Transmit Buffers to 64 and Receive Buffs to Maximum and I have a SOLID 560 MegaBytes/Sec transfer rate (LSOv2 and Receive Ceol enabled by default). Perfect for my Video server M2 NVMe 4TB drive on a heat sink! 2 Ports are open for the kids to plug in 2.5 or even old 1Ghz. But one of my ports is taken up by a 2.5 connection to the Gateway/Wifi 6/ISP.. With this unmanaged Switch, it's PLUG AND PLAY! Did try Jumbo Frames 9014, 590 MB/S solid! Sweet little GEM!

Works great! I have all fiber Internet with 5 gigs up and down and my home came pre wired with cat 6 cable pulled to almost every room but the switch it came with had 1 gig ports and I couldn't get speeds to my PC over a gig. Installed this switch and the speeds now are 4.8 gigs down and 4.9 up. It's also fanless so it's quite and I've not noticed any above normal temperatures. Now I specifically got the 5 gig switch because the 10 gig had a fan and I didn't want the extra noise. A little less money and I don't have a need currently for speeds over 5 gigs.

I have this 8 Port 10G Ethernet Switch by NICGIGA, and a nicer TP-Link TL-SX1008 8 Port 10G Ethernet Switch. This one cost me $213.67 with tax (currently lists for $280, plus $30 off), and the TP-Link cost $400. I have a 5GB internet connection, and 8 TP-Link Deco 10GBE Wi-Fi 7 mesh access points. I have 7 of the Deco's on this NICGIGA Switch, an done of the TP-Link. I also use a TP-Link ER8411 Router and have a home NAS and several computers that all run 10 Gbe NIC's. My switches get a workout. This NICGIGA gets too hot, it can't handle my traffic, and I think it is running a little slower than it should. The NICGIGA gets HOT. The ambient temperature of the NICGIGA unplugged is 75 deg f. The TP-Link under load hits a max of 98 deg. The NICGIGA runs 130 deg. I don't think the stock fan is loud, but it is in a mechanical room, so i wouldn't notice it. However, the single fan did not keep the unit cool. I just switched the single fan out for dual Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 12v 0.05A fans that reviewer 'Oland' recommended (see his review for details). Between the two fans, the y splitter, and the 2 pin to 3 pin adapter, it cost me $41.20 to do the upgrade. The fans lowered the high temperature to about 102. With this mod, I am happy with the temperature, its close enough to the TP-Link in temperature now. At $200+41.20 (half the TP-Link price), it might be worth it. But if I had it to do all over again, and at the current prices, I would not recommend this item. I would recommend the TP-Link TL-SX1008 8 Port 10G Ethernet Switch. The TP-Link is higher quality and runs cooler.

No podria estár más satisfecho con este switch de NICGIGA. El aparato viene muy bien empaquetado, y nada más abrir la caja se nota que está construido con materiales de calidad y en funcionamiento no hace apenas ruido constando de hasta 6 bocas todas compatibles con 1gb, 2,5, 5 y 10gb. En la caja se incluyen además unos soportes por si quiesieras anclarlo a un rack, el switch además es de tipo pasivo por lo que solo tienes que conectarlo a la boca de salidad de 10gb del router y a funcionar sin ningun tipo de problema. Tengo desde hace varios meses contratada la velocidad de 10gb de Digi, y lamentablemente hasta ahora no habia podido disfrutarla al 100% nada más que en un equipo pq lamentablamente el router que proporcionan solo tiene una salida a 10gb siendo el resto de 1gb por lo que este switch es la solucion ideal para poder tener esta velocidad en varios equipos de la casa pudiendo conseguir por fin la velocidad máxima en varios dispositivos y poder exprimir por fin el 100% de la velocidad contratada. El unico "pero" que quiza le podria poner es el precio, pero teniendo en cuenta que otras soluciones similares que actualmente hay en el mercado las cuales practicamente le doblan el precio teniendo en cuenata las cualidades con las que cuenta, la calidad de materiales y excelente rendimiento que ofrece no puedo hacer otra cosa que recomendarlo sin ninguna duda.
