I’ve been really impressed with the WiMiUS K9 Projector. The picture quality is clear and bright, even in a room with a bit of ambient light, and it was quick and easy to set up. The sound quality is decent for a built-in speaker, and connecting devices through HDMI and wireless casting worked smoothly without any issues. It’s great value for the price and feels well made. The customer service was also excellent — quick replies, very helpful, and friendly throughout. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it.

This is my second projector. If you are an impatiatent reader than I will say right off the bat, this projector has an outstanding picture quality especially for his price range. It delivers a superb high contrast and bright image in a dim or dark room. Of course, the image is a little more washed out when room lights are on but it's actually still quite watchable, far more so than my previous projector. However, I only have a desire to watch big movies and play my playstation games on this, in a dimly lit or fully dark room and this where I mainly judge my projector's performance. There is fan noise but it's at a very acceptable level. Its unnoticeable while watching movies. If watching a very quiet movie or perhaps a quiet scene in a horror movie before a jump scare occurs, the fan can be heard but even for quiet scenes, it's the kind of background noise that you forget is there. The projector has a standard thread to mount on a tripod so that's how I have set it up as shown in my pictures. The tripod has a ball head which makes it very easy to position. It is situated behind me and is 2.5m away with me sitting in a gaming chair in between. The projector is of course above my head height when I am sitting down. The rest of my family sits on a sofa besides the projector and we all enjoy watching Blu-ray movies together. I christened it with a Blu-ray of Jurassic Park and it was, ahem, a "roaring" success with my family, maximising the big screen due to the film's aspect ratio being a full 16:9 screen filling dino fest. The film makes for a great test as it has a lot of night time dark scenes which can be a challenge in clarity and contrast for projectors but this one performs brilliantly, as the T-rex is shown at its terrifying glory in the murky torrential night rain. The colours are rich, and contrast is far superior than my first projector with the black levels shockingly good, proper blacks, not the usual grey you get with low budget projectors and LCD TVs. I expected a brighter image due to the 700 ANSI lumens spec but I was not expecting the image to be this outstanding. I like that there are two HDMI ports, one can be used for a Chrome TV or Firestick and furthermore, there are two USB ports, one of which can be used to power the streaming device. Very convenient. The other HDMI port of course can be connected to media players, consoles or in my case to my Home theatre AV receiver. Being a conventional long throw projector, a common challenge is that consoles and blu ray drives are usually at the front with the TV so have to get a long HDMI cable and thread it around the room to the projector. However, as shown in my pictures, I have a neat solution to avoid that, I use a low latency HDMI wireless transmitter and receiver which works brilliantly with the projector and my surround AV receiver amp, giving me a full home theatre surround experience and full connectivity to my gaming consoles that are connected to the amp that has two outputs, one to TV and wireless one to the projector (an HDMI switch can also work if amp didn’t have two outputs) Gaming on this projector is superb and at 60hz, panning around in Assassins Creed, driving full throttle in GT7, or swinging through Manhattan skyscrapers in Spiderman, feels just as fluid as on my OLED TV screen except with the large projector display, I feel ten times more immersed! Despite having an excellent 120hz VRR 4k 55inch TV, I now much prefer to game with this projector and not just use it for our movie nights. The sound speaker on the Projector is ok, serviceable. It has clarity and even directional separation but not much in base at all. But as with all budget projectors, best to use a soundbar, Bluetooth speakers or better still, as I do, connect to home theatre amp. I have to admit, I find the auto focus and auto sizing rather unnecessary features as it's no big deal to do it manually and in all honesty, I find it more accurate to do it manually anyway. But what I really appreciate is that I can zoom down the image to fit my screen with considerable ease and speed. Once the projector is setup in position and is unmoved, I don't need to set up the screen positioning again…but I do find I need to refocus. But as I said, not a big deal, especially given it's fast responses to zoom and adjust. As shown in my pictures, I have this projected on a pull up retractable Raubay screen which gives an approximate 80 inch image. I don't need any bigger because I am quite close to the screen anyway, about a metre away. The projector also boasts being a smart device with popular streaming apps built in and more downloadable. However, it does not have many apps that are popular in UK, such as BBC Iplayer and there is no Disney Plus either. However, I do not need this streaming feature as I have this connected to my amp which in turn has my firestick connected. I give this five-star for delivering what I personally desire most in a projector, a vibrant, rich, sharp picture in a dimly lit room. Its other useful features are just a bonus, but it’s the picture quality and vibrancy that really matters most.

I was unsure at first as it wasn't a name brand, but I was very surprised on the quality of the projector and the picture it produces. It is like looking at a TV and the colours look really good. It is really easy to focus aswell with the auto focus and keystone correction and it fits to almost any surface. It has lots of features built in aswell: there is a netflix, youtube and prime video button on the remote. And the screen mirroring is very useful and you can even mirror from a Windows PC. It also worked well when I played a 4k video on it via HDMI, it wont show the picture in 4k, as it is native 1080p, but it still worked fine. It produces a 80 inch screen for me at about 2.5m or a bit less away so it is really good for watching movies, but from a bit further it can produce bigger. You cant really see the pixels either at this size unlike some other projectors i have used so the quality remains great. It isn't silent but when you have speakers on you can't hear the fan anymore, even when sat very close to it. So far I don't think there is anything to complain about and for it's price point it is very good value.

I actually bought two projectors to test them out: this one and a Kogata projector which Amazon picked. I tried both and I've now decided to go for this. This is because of the better quality of the picture more than anything. The focus is brilliant and with the zoom function it helps to match whatever size surface you're projecting on. I think it works best at night but I also tried in the daytime and it's still a decent picture, albeit sometimes hard to make out what's going on when scenes are a bit more moody. The sound is good and controls are very easy and user friendly to use. Compared to the Kogata projector, this one looks smarter and more stylish. For the price, I think this is a very good projector and there also seems to be good customer service available if you need it. I've gone for 4* because I think the picture looks dark sometimes but it might be because I haven't figured out the brightness levels!

I did a lot of research to find a 1080p (4K support) projector with the right spec. I couldn’t afford a 4K or Lasers but watching video reviews on TV I could see the picture looked very good. I dropped the idea of buying a super cheap projector as the ANSI figures were far too low. Don’t go by Lumens! I don’t have a white screen but project onto a cream wallpaper which works. So with this in mind I think the picture is OK in a dimmed room but of course comes into its own in a really dark room. Trying various videos it seems the quality is dependant on the source material. So even though you won’t get 4K the picture quality is better than a film using a much lower resolution. The picture quality in a dark room can be quite astounding with HDR recordings although some are better with it off and most are very watchable. I can get roughly a 7 foot horizontal image in my bedroom. It’s far more involving than my 42” diagonal lounge TV and has your head spinning with different layers of a scenery moving at a different pace with drone footage. You feel your flying with Maverick in Top Gun. An effect that just doesn’t always happen on an average size TV. It’s worth spending some time adjusting the colour/brightness/contrast etc for a more lifelike experience relevant to the surrounding light in the room. Don’t expect everything to look stunning but lesser picture quality films can still be very engrossing. A true cinema experience in your home. As for sound don’t expect too much from it’s own speaker. It’s good for night time type listening but if you want the full movie thrills you need to at least Blue Tooth it to your HI-Fi(with sub 👍). I bought this also as it has inbuilt Apps but slightly disappointed that there were no live TV channels -normally down to licensing restrictions. So I ended up buying a cheap Amazon Lite Stick for (£20 Prime Day 🙂). Had to persevere to get the Lite remote to pair with the stick which wasn’t a problem on my bedroom TV. Came good in the end. It probably does as much as the inbuilt Apps on the projector but at least I can watch live TV now. So summing up I am really pleased with this projector for my needs. It’s not for a classroom during the day as the recommended ANSI figures need to be a lot higher but for home use in a dim/dark room it’s great. Buying it on Prime Day the price fluctuated and I stepped in quick as it had a huge percentage discount and then a further £120 off so it cost me £270 which I was very pleased with. Some people might have got it for £230 later in the day. I think it’s hard if not impossible to beat for the discounted price!

My experience of using my K9 has been amazing. It was packaged really well. The build quality is fantastic, it feels really high quality. I love the cloth on the front and the lens cap. The connectivity is great with two HDMI ports and two USB ports. The remote control is nice to use and also feels high quality. I love the quick access buttons for Netflix and Amazon Prime. The set up procedure was great, it was so simple to adjust everything to how I wanted it. The projected image is amazing. It's really sharp and feels like I'm at the cinema. I actually prefer watching the projector to my 4k UHD TV. Auto focus and auto keystone work well. The fan is pretty quiet and can barely be heard over whatever I'm watching, even at low volume. It's worth playing with the brightness, contrast and saturation to achieve the best picture quality. Overall, buying my K9 has been a great experience. The only very slight negative is that the USB port will only accept a memory stick formatted to 32GB. If it could take a higher capacity, the projector would be perfect. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend WiMiUS products. They're great quality at a fair price.

Great projector with even greater customer service. I initially had an issue with one of the apps on the projector and was quickly sent a replacement. The replacement worked perfectly but was missing a lens cap so they sent me ANOTHER PROJECTOR and said I could keep it and put it to good use - I’ll be donating the first and last projector to my local church. Honestly some of the best customer service I have ever experienced and so far the projector itself works great. Picture quality, sound, design are all really good. Only thing missing is the Disney+ app but other than that I can’t fault it. Really happy!

When i bought this inwas absolutely astounded by how good the quality was! Very easy to set up and not loud or noisy and the sounds really good. I did have a problem with some dark shadowing in one corner a few months after buying it but their support team were really good and quick to get back to me and when the issue couldn't be fixed they sent me another one which arrived fast. I highly recommend this projector! Affordable and a fantastic image and sound quality!

Due anni fa avevo già acquistato un proiettore WIMIUS K7, così quando mio fratello mi ha chiesto di aiutarlo a scegliere un nuovo proiettore per casa sua, l’attenzione è andata subito al nuovo WIMIUS K9 che si è dimostrato veramente un ottimo prodotto, oltre le aspettative, sia dal punto di vista estetico che tecnico. La consegna, grazie ad Amazon, è stata velocissima. Il proiettore è ben confezionato ed all’interno della scatola c’è tutto ciò che serve per cominciare subito ad usarlo, compreso telecomando, cavo HDMI e dongle WiFi per IOS! Offre una definizione Full HD nativa con supporto 4K ed ha un’ottima luminosità e contrasto, anche in ambienti non totalmente al buio. L’autofocus e la correzione trapezioidale automatica sono una chicca ed in caso di necessità si possono ottimizzare tutte le impostazioni direttamente tramite il telecomando, senza doversi alzare ed agire sulla ghiera della lente. L’utilizzo è semplicissimo e molto intuitivo: l’installazione è completamente guidata ed in pochi minuti si è connessi ad internet tramite il WiFi (anche 6!) e si è pronti per godere la proiezione di film o canali televisivi in diretta. Le applicazioni principali: Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video, Web browser non solo sono preinstallate, ma addirittura hanno un tasto dedicato sul telecomando. In caso di necessità c’è in dotazione un completo manuale in diverse lingue – incluso l’italiano! Quello che mi ha stupito (se paragonato al modello precedente) è la notevole riduzione della rumorosità dell’apparecchio: per il modello K7 era caldamente richiesto il collegamento ad un altoparlante esterno per poter godere più soddisfacentemente del sonoro, invece il nuovo WIMIUS K9 è così silenzioso e l’audio interno è così efficace, che si può ascoltare anche direttamente. Questo proiettore offre inoltre la possibilità di connettere una miriade di dispositivi: per esempio tramite le porte HDMI e USB potrete collegare Amazon Fire stick, Lettori DVD/Blu-ray, chiavette USB o hard disk esterni per visualizzare le vostre foto o video. Il Bluetooth permette la connessione a Soundbar o Home Theatre così da poter realizzare un fantastico impianto di Home Cinema e godere pienamente del suono Dolby! Lo possiedo da una settimana e mi ha completamente conquistato: rispetto al precedente modello K7 questo WIMIUS K9 è: più silenzioso, più luminoso, più fluido, anche grazie al nuovo sistema operativo ed anche molto più bello! A supporto della mia recensione, allego delle foto per mostrare la bellezza del proiettore e le sue caratteristiche, soprattutto si può apprezzare la luminosità ed il dettaglio dell’immagine proiettata. ------------------- 07/03/2024 Dopo un mese di utilizzo, ribadisco il giudizio positivo. Per meglio spiegare il concetto di "supporta il 4K", confermo che mentre il SW/decoder interno lavora con risoluzione Full HD nativa, collegando una fonte esterna agli ingressi HDMI si può ottenere una proiezione in 4K. Allego una foto della proiezione di un video dalla Amazon Fire Stick 4K. Segnalo inoltre che nel frattempo è stato rilasciato un aggiornamento del software installato: segno che dietro a questo prodotto c'è un'organizzazione seria ed attiva. Il SW si è installato automaticamente senza alcun problema. 5 stelle meritate!

Grand amateur de cinéma, j'ai opté depuis longtemps pour la projection plutôt que pour une télévision j'avais jusqu'à ce jour un vidéoprojecteur que j'utilisais depuis dix ans et aujourd'hui j'ai pris une claque en faisant un grand saut technologique c'est incroyable ce vidéoprojecteur full HD est doté de très bonnes capacité quand on va streamer avec le logiciel Linux avec YouTube, ou Netflix 60 Hz qui est bien pris en compte les vidéos et le rendu sonore sont super, j’ai été surpris par la précision de l’image c’est fin il n'y a rien a redire et à ce prix avec sa technologie vous aurez droit à une luminosité élevée la netteté affichées sur mon écran de 120 pouces est au rendez-vous, avec la mise au point automatique, La configuration du vidéoprojecteur a été un jeu d’enfant. L'autofocus/Keystone fonctionne parfaitement bien Il est entièrement automatique et parfait dans tous les coins. Cela m'a complètement changé de mon ancien vidéoprojecteur quand au son il est clair et net avec son système Dolby Audio, pour un meilleur rendu sonore et enveloppant je l'ai couplé en Bluetooth à ma barre de son, il surpasse et de loin tous les vidéoprojecteur de cette fourchette de prix, mais il existe par contre un petit manque avec le logiciel LINUX embarqué dans ce videoprojecteur ne prend en compte que YouTube,Netflix Amazon PrimeVideo 60 Hz ,afin de compenser ce manque j'ai branché en HDMI l'Amazon Fire TV Stick,qui me permet d'avoir tout le reste, malgré cela avec son prix et tous ses atouts je le conseil à tous, ceux adeptes du cinéma maison pour sa qualité visuel même sans HDR 10 la qualité visuel de ce vidéoprojecteur reste bien au dessus et n'a absolument rien à voir avec tous les vidéoprojecteur à technologie LCD LED dans la pénombre le rendu est beaucoup plus proche de celui d'une salle de cinéma, Mon avis : L’image de ce vidéoprojecteur est lumineuse, nette et éclatante, même dans une pièce éclairée. Il dispose du Bluetooth ainsi que de la possibilité de dupliquer l’écran d’un téléphone. Le port HDMI ARC facilite le branchement d'un ordinateur portable, d'un lecteur vidéo d'une box TV et d'autres appareils. Dans l’ensemble, ce projecteur est un mélange parfait de commodité, de technologie intelligente de qualité d’image et de son de premier ordre. Au prix ou il est vendu allez y les yeux fermé vous ne serez pas déçu a ce jour niveaux qualité prix c'est ce qui se fait de mieux dans la vidéo projection full HD.

Avevo già acquistato due proiettori wimius e mi ero trovato bene: con S1 avevo iniziato la mia esperienza con la videoproiezione e, nonostante fosse un entry level, era un buon proiettore; visto il prezzo la qualità video era notevole, purtroppo aveva zero connettività wireless e bluetooth. Dopo due anni sono così passato al K7 che era più connettivo e prometteva un salto di qualità video, che però non è stato massimo: luminosità e contrasto erano molto buoni, ma per ottenere una qualità cromatica soddisfacente ho dovuto lavorare molto di settaggio. Nonostante non avesse la correzione trapezoidale automatica, quella manuale a 4 punti consentiva comunque di aggiustare l'immagine in una grande gamma di situazioni. Aggiungo che ho avuto un problema all' audio e il servizio clienti di wimius è stato straordinario, sostituendolo senza problemi. Dopo altri due anni, ho voluto fare un ulteriore step ottenendo il pacchetto completo in termini di connettività, presenza di android TV e strumenti di correzione come autofocus e correzione automatica. Ad un primo utilizzo, devo dire che questo wimius k9 è straordinario: versatile, con android TV molto fluida; autofocus e correzione automatica funzionano benissimo e si possono ulteriormente calibrare manualmente con il telecomando. Il settaggio base offre una qualità video in termini di colore e contrasto davvero ottimi, come si vede dal breve filmato allegato. Esistono già in Internet comunque numerose video recensioni da cui si può vedere la qualità. Sono curioso anche di testare la caratteristica unica sui proiettori di fascia media come questo di non necessitare di intervento di pulizia. Wimius ha davvero fatto un prodotto notevole e credo non abbia concorrenti in termini di rapporto qualità prezzo.
