I own around 25 gas mask respirators of all types .The gas mask is silicone and will protect from most situations, but if you want full advanced protection with nuclear disasters in mind such as mustard gas, go with butyl rubber. The gas mask seems to run as a medium/large. The filter port only opens from the left hand side. I was hoping that it will open with both just like the other "brand" so be aware if you are left handed you can decide If this is a good mask for you. All in all a great mask.

Just what was needed

Impressed with this Mask. Fit is comfortable, it seals up tight without having it tight, and it didn't fog up with use. Great buy and I'll likely get more to have on hand.

The title blurb for this mask actually uses the word “Nuclear” in it. To be clear, there is no official government certification on this mask. It is NOT certified for chemical, biological, or radiological use.I consider this an over-engineered version of your normal painters respirator available from your typical big box home improvement store. It does provide a decent seal around your face, but I found that the plastic lens actually warps your vision a bit.

I think this is going to be a great item to have in your survival kit for some sort of apocalyptic scenario. It fits very good and is extremely comfortable. The filter being on your left side makes it lean a bit but nothing you can't get used to. To be completely frank, there isn't a time that I have used it in my day to say use, but I want to NOT have to use it if you know what I mean. Overall, super easy to use. Just as easy ss putting it on and that's it.
