Came in a compact box completely disassembled with many small pieces. It appeared a bit intimidating to put together at first. However everything came labeled with stickers and after sorting it all out, it became apparent the design was on the simpler side, & minimized complexity. Instructions were included and clear. This shelf is beautiful once assembled. The metal frame is just fine, it feels sturdy but is nothing special. The bolts used felt quality, thick and no signs of cheap metal. The wood panels are quality and feel like real hardwood- smooth and heavy. Wood screws were used for assembling the smaller joints but all the larger joints had metal threads set into the wood. For the price mine was puchased at ($160), I find this to be a great value.

This is a study and well made set of shelves. I was impressed with how well everything lined up and how many secure points there are. The instructions are very simple, but adequate. Pay attention to the layout because I had to redo a couple of steps because I missed something. It was there in the pictures, but without more information I did miss that. Not to worry I was able to correct my error without damage to the shelves. It does take a bit of time to put together because of all the secure points, but I was so pleased I wasn’t haven’t to push and prod to get things to line up. I chose these shelves because they were inexpensive and they looked nice. I wanted them for bookshelves in my office. What I didn’t think about is the open ends don’t make it as useable for bookshelves. I have to buy sets of bookends to make it function as I had planned. But that was my error and it isn’t worth returning when bookends will solve the problem.

Excellent storage option. Fits well in a smaller space, looks amazing, and holds way more than I thought it would! It wasn't too difficult to assemble, either. I highly recommend!

Have you ever wanted to build a bookcase pretty much from scratch? Well, this unit will let you do just that! You'll get to install the rails on each shelf, assemble the frame and screw the shelves into the frame. After you're done you will feel a true sense of accomplishment. The hours that you put in will be rewarded with a bookshelf unit that looks just like the picture... that is after you peel off all the stickers. Yep. every single piece of this shelf has and ID sticker and some pieces have their own safety stickers. You won't have to worry about there being any unidentified parts because these are not the kind of stickers that fall off in shipping, these stickers require both strong intent and chemicals to remove. But once you have removed them you have a nice bookcase that seems to be real wood and its pretty sturdy. This kit actually ships with extra hardware and I bet you will even have a handful of other screws left over when you are done. Those screws are for if you decide not to do the L shaped unit. The metal framing is sturdy and well made and there are plenty of holes of various configurations. You'll need to pay close attention to these holes during assembly so you don't t have to build in reverse to get the holes where you need them. When you are done there will probably be lots of holes in the frame that you didn't need for your configuration so all you do is adhere the provided plastic stickers over the holes to hide them. It works surprisingly well! They also provide a set of hooks that allow you to hang things on the side rails of your bookcase. I haven't figured out what to hank on them but they are a nice touch. I found the following construction schedule to be very helpful and made the entire process less intimidating: Day 1 Sort the parts by sticker ID Day 2 Install the rails on the shelves Day 3 Assemble the frame - take your time, this is your change to get all the holes where they need to be! Day 4 Fit the shelves into the frame and secure them - Don't forget to install the Z clips if you build the L shaped unit. Day 5 Peel off the exposed ID stickers. This part might seem impossible but they will come off with some effort and some googone. Day 6 Put the bookcase in its new home and enjoy!

A nice, sturdy shelf. Holds a good portion of my hobby supplies (painting & resin along with some smaller equipment). No wobble or leaning, a good fit in the corner of the room I'm turning into my crafting room. Moderate to easy to put together, especially if you have the use of a small power tool.

I'm really big into Legos and was looking for something to display them in my office. The problem with a lot of the shelves I was looking at was that they did not have enough spacing between the shelves. I found this one that I thought would would work. It exceeded my expectations! The color matched perfect with my rustic brown desk and floating shelves! It was very easy to put together with the labels and instructions. It has five shelves so it's the perfect height for me without having to get a step stool to reach the top (I'm 5'8"). The price was great! It doesn't look cheap. There were shelves I looked at that were double, even triple the price! I'd recommend it for anything you want to put on it (i.e., picture frames, books, figurines, etc.)

A great self, perfect for a corner! Fits a lot more books than I originally thought. Recommend to have an extra set of hands to build, as the selves are a bit tricky. Very sturdy and high quality.

This bookshelf is AMAZING!!! I was looking to make some changes in my pantry as we upgraded our water heater to tankless, which freed up a lot of space. I measured a million time to be sure that this would fit the space. It fit great on the height, weight, and depth. Measurements were spot on unlike other shelving units I have ordered in the past. The shelving unit was really easy to put together, I did it by myself. It came with fairly easy to read instructions. It does come with a tool to put it together but I just used my drill. The holes were all in place and easy to line up. The shelves fit easily in place and were secured quickly once the frame was put together. This bookshelf really elevated my pantry space giving me loads of storage space I previously did not have. For the price I have no complaints, as it seems to be priced like similar style shelving units.

Easy to build but if you have a drill with an the correct bit to match the Allan key I highly recommend using it. Looooots of little screws to put, the most of anything I've built so far and my drill saved my fingers. Feels sturdy, comes with a wall anchor strap. Holds sooo much

A little tricky to put the shelves on because to doesn't say which shelf goes where and it should.

It's great for the price. They are labled "rustic" but in person they jusy look like medium-dark stained wood, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I particularly like the support system under the shelves on this corner unit, it feels sturdy. I got the matching rolanstar 6 tier non corner shelf and the shelves don't exactly line up from one unit to the next. This is the main thing that I am not super thrilled about. The non corner unit also feels a lot less supported under each shelf. Also worth noting our floors arent level and we had to tie the shelves together to get them to sit relatively flush. The photo with kitties shows the shelves without additional supports to make them flush. Very easy fix though. Overall I am happy with the shelves for the price and will likely buy more.
