Samsung MS23K3513AK Solo Microwave, 23 Litre, Black

So purchased this Samsung microwave after quite a bit of research. We were looking for a reliable well made microwave for home. So far this has been excellent. Very easy set up had no issues with burning overcooking items. The interior is very easy to clean due to the internal coating. We love the low energy sleep level, which is done with a touch of the stop button. But the moment you open the door or touch any controls it’s back on ready to go. Seems very robust and well made shuts with a lovely solid clunk. Great value for money. It is so easy to use. Cooks and heats evenly no scorched burnt bits so far. Highly recommended item.

Works as expected. This was a replacement for a similar model that had stopped working. It's updated since the rotary dial days. Easy to set the clock, easy to use. You can do all sorts with it if you wanted, but we tend to just use it to reheat food or milk. Ceramic inside making it easy to clean. Looks great. The turntable inside holds a large dinner plate. It's tall enough for a large jug. We've had it about a month now, and have not complains or concerns. We really like to single button 30 second cook feature. Put something in, close the door, press start and off it goes for 30 seconds. Or press it a few times and the timer increases by 30 seconds each press. Easy and simple. We wanted a microwave and this is what it is. No grill or airfryer dual role.

I bought this microwave as the one we had (which was gifted to us) was on its last legs, literally rusting and falling apart. Decided to go with this one as I'm a fan of both Samsung and black electronics, so seemed like a no brainer. The mostly positive reviews didn't hurt either. I must say that the microwave does look and feel more premium than our previous model (the brand escapes me) but it was a white 900w, 21 litre capacity. This microwave has tons of great features and as I said, it has a premium aesthetic, while also not breaking the bank. While it does have great features and design however, it is lacking a bit in other areas. Firstly the controls could be better (and actually explained) in the "manual." For example, I wanted to test out the soften feature. Instead of being able to press "Soften/Melt" then select a number from 1-4 (depending on what you're softening) and pressing start, you have to press the "Select/Clock" button and THEN start. It's only one extra step and I really don't mind it now that I know, but it doesn't tell you this in the instructions, which almost led me to believe the thing arrived faulty. My other gripe is how underpowered it seems. Despite being only 100w less power, it seems like it takes nearly twice as long to heat similar things as my old microwave. I can understand a small increase in time, but double seems a bit much. And lastly, and this one is pretty minor, the screen on the door is SUPER dark. You will not be able to see what's inside the microwave, even while it's cooking. Seems a bit nit-picky, but it's a strange thing when you consider most other makes and models don't have that issue. Other than that it's a great little microwave, and if you can ignore the minor quirks, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Made my space more beautiful and works really well. Good part is the energy efficiency and its stability. The design is top notch and the size is perfect with good opening and closing of the door without noise. It also alerts you when you have left food in the microwave. Highly recommend

The fundamental consideration for us was budget — money is tight, and our old Panasonic microwave had packed up suddenly. It was bulky, heavy, and expensive to replace like for like. I asked AI to suggest the best option for our needs, and this one came out as the clear winner! This microwave is excellent value when you consider the following: It’s a good size (fits better in the space) and is much lighter to move than our old one. It looks very smart and is easy to clean. We’ve had no issues at all with its performance. However, after reading some of the reviews, I do agree with the comments about ease of use. The instructions aren’t very clear, and it’s odd that you can’t just input the exact cooking time. It took us a few days to work out the best way around this. Like many others, we haven’t really used the preset functions, but the 30-second reheat feature is brilliant — perfect for half a large cup of coffee! I also like that it beeps to remind you your drink (or food) is ready. We prefer the pull-handle door, and although you can’t see through the opaque black front to check if something’s melting, this doesn’t bother us. Amazon’s customer service was excellent — delivery was quick, packaging secure, and the microwave arrived in perfect condition. We didn’t get the expected five-month interest-free option because we used a gift card for part of the payment, but Amazon kindly gave us a 10% refund, which I really appreciated. Overall, this microwave is stylish, quite compact, great value, and works exactly as we need it to. When you take the price and features into account, it really does deserve 5⭐ — we’re very happy with it.

Easy to use and seems to work well. The interior coating is very easy to keep clean unlike other microwave ovens we have had in the past. Other than that it seems to be a pretty straightforward, no frills machine.

Amazing. Wow. If you’re evaluating a PROPER GOOD microwave, just buy this. I think it’s so underrated and under priced if that makes sense. It’s way better than those super expensive microwaves. Does have different defrost, dessert, and heating options. Eco friendly options, not loud, light inside is decent too. Love it

Good microwave but window too dark so you can’t see the food not great for things like scrambled eggs

Dont buy. 100% old stock and for my item purchased on 13 Aug 2025, upon registration with Samsung.com, saw that the warranty expired on 31 July 2024. Very very disappointing. Product wise its smaller than expected and dark on the inside.
