Fantastically bright - almost like a laser!
I've been needing a torch for some time, as the AAA batteries corroded inside my previous torch, and this one looked like a great replacement—albeit a bit on the pricey side. The packaging didn't make a great first impression - the wording on the box is a bit nonsensical and it doesn't appear to have any proper branding as such. However...I am super impressed at how bright it is. Pressing the button once turns it on at max brightness. If you press the button again within about a second, it switches to a lower brightness mode. Further presses switch it to various flashing modes. Alternatively, if you press the button once and then press it again after waiting a few seconds, it will switch it off.To adjust the focus of the beam, you simply slide the end of the torch in or out. Pulled out to its fullest extent produces the most focused beam, which shines brightly for a huge distance. With the end of the torch pushed in towards the body, you have a nice wide beam that is ideal for seeing your way while walking in the dark.I really love the fact it's rechargeable via a supplied USB type-C lead. And, I love the fact that the battery is also replaceable. So if its performance starts to degrade, I'm sure I won't have too much trouble sourcing a replacement battery. The different lenses provided with the torch are not of much use to me, apart from maybe the red one which I might use in combination with the low power setting to help me see what I'm doing when setting up my telescope outside. The larger attachment that turns the torch into a lantern will be very useful in the summer when I'm camping. It really diffuses the light from the torch well, softly illuminating a large area.I like the pocket clip on the torch, and the fact that it's removable too. The magnet on the end of the torch is also great. Ideal for sticking the torch to a car bonnet, for example, while filling up the washer fluid in the dark. Or, as I found the other day, retrieving tiny little screws that I'd dropped into some pebbles while replacing an outside light!Overall I think it's very well made, it works well, but at £36 it's a bit too expensive for what it is.

Does the job, but too expensive...
Arrives with accessories as shown in the listing, the battery separately shrink-wrapped.With the new battery inserted the lamp did come on but there isn't any indication of a charge level, so after a monitored charge to 'full', the final top-up measured was around 950mA.The torch itself is 'OK', but I am struggling to see where exactly the comparatively high price for this is justified.Taking away few the 'extras' of coloured disks and the soft light cup, there really isn't anything to make this torch stand out from the crowd. There's no soft case included, no standard-battery (3xAAA) converter that comes with many of these types of torches (although in fairness the size of the tube probably wouldn't allow for one anyway), but even so, it seems pretty expensive to me for what you're getting. It works, has several different lighting options, and has the usual flood-to-spot adjustment via the trombone push/pull on the front lens.Other than that, it's nothing special at all.The price at time of review is £35.99, which is WAY too expensive in my opinion, given the many other alternatives out there. On a quality/value-for-money basis, it's 'just about' a 3-Star (and that's only because a 20% discount is showing as available at the moment).
