Works pretty good. Seems well made. I've used it on 6v batteries and 12 volt auto batteries and no issue. In the description it says it has an option for load testing but scrolling through it all and it does not show it. I'm not sure if it's built in when testing and that's how it shows the results. The quick battery test feature is a nice if a battery doesn't have a tag or you can't read it. I have no issues with it. Tests batteries how it's supposed to and does a bit more on readings. Good for home use and good to have in the tool box for a quick check option.

The Vdiagtool BR300 is a tester for 6-12v lead-acid batteries of different types. First off, it is easy to use, supposedly has 99.5% accuracy, looks and feels like a first-class tool, is f/w ungradable, and gives repeatable results. After a fair amount of testing on good and bad batteries, both large and very small, I am confident that the readings and results are accurate. I purchased this item because I was looking for a tester that would provide accurate battery information for small lead-acid batteries. The BT300 has this unusual capability due to the very wide range of CCA's. Once I figured out how to approach testing of these small batteries, the tester did the rest and I had confidence in the results, finally. The bonus for me is that the test results for large batteries when companied to other lead-acid battery testers were often very different from the BT300. After comparative testing on several larger batteries using several of my digital testers against each other and an expensive commercial tester, I'm now confident that my older digital testers should not be relied on for valid results and the BT300 provides accurate results. I did not expect such a wide variation in results for car batteries - I was wrong. I have now discarded the older digital testers in favor of the BT300. Sometimes the test results call for "replace," but the battery seems to perform as expected. In my cars and motorcycles, I never want to be in the situation where the tests reads "replace" yet the car starts normally, that is, until the outdoor temperature drops and the car just will not start due to known battery weakness issues. It's just not worth taking a chance as far as I'm concerned. The BT300 helps avoid this kind of issue, if used properly, and its data and readouts respected. On a related subject, I had some interaction with one of its customer service agents, Anna. I knew from the Amazon listing that Vdiagtool promised great customer service. She was perfect for my needs in all respects. You should have no reservations about purchasing the Vdiagtool BT300. I'm convinced Vdiatool will take care of any issue you may have upon receipt or during its lifetime without much effort on the part of the customer. Great product! Great customer service! This battery tester is easy to use and automatically tests the state of the battery. It can check current charge, Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), and the charging system. It will tell you if the charging system is working correctly, if the battery is in good condition, and warn you when the battery is getting close to needing to be replaced. It will also tell you if the battery is bad. The tool is very simple to use, just connect the red alligator clip to the positive battery terminal and the black alligator clip to the negative battery terminal. The tool then prompts you to walk you through the test procedure. The tool does come with an instruction manual but the prompts on the tool tell you everything you need to know to use the too. The attached photos show: - The battery test. To set this up, you select the type of vehicle - car, motorcycle, etc. - and then select the type of battery. You enter the battery information and CCA rating, and then the test runs automatically. The tester measures the battery and reports resistance, voltage, and CCA. This car had been sitting for a while and the battery was not fully charged. As the tool determined, the battery was at 54% capacity and needed to be charged. - The charging test. The tool monitors charging at idle, then prompts you to rev the engine to 2500 RPM for 10 seconds and measures charging rate again, then reports the difference in charging rates as well as the voltage ripple - The cranking test. The tool prompts you to crank the engine and measures the time as well as the minimum and maximum voltage. The tool evaluates the cranking and reports a status, in this example the cranking was normal. This battery tester is a great value, I have not found anything with this much capability at anything close to this price.

Received the item on schedule. Item came nicely packaged with a user manual. Was a little surprised to see it didn’t use batteries, but it makes sense since it is always connected to a battery when used. Took it right out to the car and it turned on as soon as I connected it. Did the battery test first and the battery checked out just fine, which I expected. CCA came in within a few amps of what was printed on the battery so I decided to try a test. I turned on the headlights and then repeated the battery test. With the headlights on the CCA came in about 100A lower, so it really is measuring the battery since it wasn’t able to get as much current when some of the current was diverted to the headlights. Went on to check the alternator and starter. This car has a 6 phase alternator, resulting in higher amperage and less ripple and the tester recognized the reduced ripple. The starter tested OK and it was nice to see exactly how long the starter ran before the engine actually started. I then tried the graphing voltage display which worked as expected, with a slight dip in voltage while the starter ran followed by an increase in voltage with the alternator running. It’s a good sense of security knowing I can check the health of my battery and electrical system quickly and easily and find problems before I get stranded and for such a small and low cost device.

This is all right I've used it like once it was really confusing I've done the old school way for 20 years with the hydrometer and a load tester and my eyeballs. I didn't really understand the test I mean I did but it seemed like maybe the results are not that accurate or maybe I'm completely wrong It seems like there's a lot of modes for nothing like why do you need all the extra stuff Just want to know the state of the battery. I originally had it at four stars but after using it I wasn't all that impressed I mean the price is OK what would make something like this better is an actual printer attachment through a cable because you can't print on the road. I guess you could take a picture I still like the old way but the new way give you the health and the state of charge easier I trust the old way better of testing batteries but in today's day and most batteries don't even have caps are sealed or glass mat etc. Mainly three stars because of the price Not impressed though sorry

Received this BT300 Battery tester today. Used it on three different vehicles to test batteries, starters, and alternators. I am very impressed with the overall feel and display. The unit seems to be well made and of good quality (however time will tell how good this is). The user interface is easy and quite intuitive. Results are fast, easy to understand. Especially like the battery tester. Seems accurate with what I would expect from these 3 vehicles I tested. 1 had an agm type less than a month old, the next one had a regular acid battery approx 1 year old, and the 3rd had an regular acid battery about 1-1/2 years old. i did multiple testing on each battery and the results were consistent and expected on these 3 batteries. Starter tests and Alternator tests on each vehicle were consistent and the data I could measure was accurate with an expensive VOM meter. This even has a function to plug into my windows pc to print the results of the testing. Overall, I am very impressed with this tool. My first impressions would be a highly recommended and easy to use tool. Just don't know how long it will last because it is new and time will tell that story. Packaging was nice, secure. Another plus was the instruction booklet was in english, easily readable and understandable. Overall, I give it a positive thumbs up for value, ease of use, and quality.

This is a well built product and works exactly as I had hoped...no issues and very simple to use. It has a great colour screen and has various test modes for checking battery health, charging health and crank test. This is especially useful when purchasing a used vehicle as in my case, as you don't know the battery health, charging health and cannot solely go on the word of a used car salesman that the battery is good or no issues charging. This tool solves the unknown and gives you the answers you require to know right away...better to know with a tool like this then be stuck with a bad battery or charging system!
