Better than expected
Feels much more sturdy than expected. Holds pressure well (one we've used in the past leaked and needed repeated pumping to maintain pressure - this one does not). Does what it's supposed to - relieves pressure to help reduce pain - my partner has a pinched nerve, and this provides some much needed relief. Not a huge fan of the silicone-type material at the neck, it's unpleasant to touch for those with sensory issues, but it is removable which makes it very easy to clean, so worth the trade off.

Works wonderfully and has relieved a great deal of pain already.

Pricey But Very High Quality
I have bulging discs in my lower neck so my doctor told me to get this product. It was a little pricey but when you are in pain you will try anything. I had to go to PT for 6 months to learn stretching exercises and good posture when sitting or lifting objects. After doing x-rays and an MRI my options are pretty limited. It's pretty much sticking it out with what I learned from PT or get surgery. So that's when my doctor suggested this cervical traction device. I been holding off as much as possible on the surgery because with what I learned from PT, the stretches and improving posture has helped a lot but there are still those days when my neck flares up and it does get painful and stiff. That is when I get this traction device and use it for 15-20mins. I found that the strap for my forehead was annoying so I use it without that strap and it works fine. You just have to keep balanced and straight on it while you pump it. Once you feel your head being pulled away from your shoulders, you can stop. I usually go about 15-20 on the gauge but find what works for you. It shouldn't hurt and it actually feels pretty good once you find the right tension with your neck getting stretched. You can feel your neck discs opening up and sometimes I actually start to fall asleep on it. However, it says not to use it for too long so make sure you put an alarm. Also my physical therapist not to use it too often either. Once or twice a day should be more than enough. In the beginning I was using it almost daily but now I have been only using it on the days that are bad which is maybe 2-3 times a month. As long as I do my stretches, I'm usually ok but I am really glad that I have this product as a backup on those bad days. I wish the price was lower which is why I'm giving it a 4 star but I have to admit, the build quality is very good. It feels industrial and it also comes with a very nice carrying case if you need to travel with it. So you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend you checking this item out. I have tried other cheaper options in the past before I bought this product and they were no where near as good as this one. Hope this review helps you out! Thanks for reading.

Impressive Results
I received this unit after a friend recommended a pump up pillow version of traction for my neck. Though I am surrounded by people in the medical field, this was not on the radar. Mainly, the unit really takes time away from a therapist. I don't like doing appointments outside my house, so this was a great option. I looked at over the door pieces, but felt like it would be unsafe on a door. The matter of being in control on a pump just felt better overall. Unpacked with easy directions and laid down on a sofa sectional for 10 minutes on the unit and after releasing the air, for another two so I could get my bearings. I stood up slowly and I felt somewhat tingly. After another minute, I felt like I could move by legs and shoulders better. I have a problem with circulation in my feet from working on the floor in a restaurant... This has been so nice to use. I can feel my circulation at my neck to my shoulders better. I have woken up to being able to not have to wait 5 minutes to stand on my feet. So overall, yes, this is well worth the price. Not to mention they offer a warranty. It is very simple to use. You are in full control with the pump handle and easy release. I am claustrophobic... and even with the forehead strap, It was just fine. I use this once a day for 10-15 minutes and it really helps. Highly recommend. Be careful on the stress level you use. Slow and easy is better!!! I started at just under 8 and it was all good going up from there.

Get something else
I got this hoping to help with my neck discomfort, and this product arrived damaged from the outside, since there is nothing to protect the unit itself. I am not even sure if I got a refurbish unit or what, but the product left much to desired. The pump wand (?) would not go past 20 when someone is laying on the product, also, the unit was unable to adjust the height angle to adapt to each person's need. Also, after a few more tries, the pump has a weird noise, like plastic creaking/screeching noise, which makes the unit very unpleasant to use. Do your homework first. I would not get this, spending a good fortune but still not getting the desired outcome of it.

Great product, Amazing Customer Service
I bought this to relieve pain from a herniated disc in my c-spine. The device has 3 different incline settings which let you target different parts of your neck, depending on where the issue is. I had done traction previously in the physical therapists office and this is comparable to, if not better than what they had. I was using it for a few weeks when the pump started gradually losing pressure so that I had to keep pumping every second or two to maintain pressure. I emailed ComfortTrac customer service and got a reply in a couple hours to set up a time to talk. They called me at the time specified and we talked through the issue and they sent me a replacement pump, with absolutely zero hassles. The pump was easy to replace and now it works great. If you are looking for a traction device, this one is easy to use and made by a company that truly does stand behind their 3 year warranty. I can't recommend highly enough. Word to the wise - don't overdo it! Look up the recommended protocols and gradually ramp up the time and pressure. The first day I had it I went a little too crazy for too long at too high a pressure and gave myself a headache. I use a FIIT app to track intervals and do some time on, then a short rest. After my initial mishap, I started at 1 min on / 30 sec off for 5 intervals, at 10-15psi 2x a day. I have gradually increased the amount of time to 2 min on and the number of intervals to 8. It isn't a magic cure - but it does help for me especially because I find my neck hurts more the more time I spend upright, so countering that pressure is key to things not getting worse.

Great device, but unexpectedly fragile.
I bought this device in 2022 and have used it off and on since. The device did an incredible job until the plastic base where the air tube goes in just shattered mid-use. I’d rate the device much higher but they advertised a 15,000 use life cycle and it fell apart after maybe a couple hundred uses. I’ve kept it in its case when not in use and have handled it quite carefully during this time, so I’m not entirely sure why this device failed the way that it did. If I could purchase replacement parts for this device I’d rate it much higher, but I’m unable to find contact information for the seller. One of the locking clips for the plastic angle adjustment pieces also broke, so I’m sure the other clip is on its way out as well. On a side note, the plastic pieces need rubber feet to prevent sliding on surface such as hardwood floors. The only notable design flaw, other than its durability

Well worth the money
This is a great product! I'll compare this cervical stretcher to the one used at my physical therapists office. I have two bulging disc's as a result of a car accident. At physical therapy, I lay face-up on the table and the automatic traction device stretched my neck for a period of 15 minutes. One session yielded positive results for two months. However, the pain returned. And I could feel my neck re-compressing. So, I found this unit on amazon. After hesitating over the price and the mixed reviews, I decided to take the leap. This product is made with high-quality silicone, and adjustable head strap, similar to the used in the physical therapists office. It adjusts via manual compression instead of automatic. I prefer this because it allows me to adjust to my comfort level. As for as the results: I can feel an incredible difference equal to the machine in the physical therapist's office. Make sure you adjust slowly. When you reach a point where you feel your neck cannot stretch any further hold it for 15 min. One you're finished, SLOWLY release the valve. You will sit up and instantly feel a difference. However, I am not a doctor and I cannot advise you how to use this device. This is only a review. I'm very blessed to have this device. And I hope it will continue to provide years of relief.
