I just received my ATI Enfield Scope mount and after reading the install instructions one time and then on to actual install, I was really impressed with how well this scope mount attached and how solid it is on the rifle. I must say that I read many reviews and thought prior to buying this mount that nothing ever goes as easy as some say it will. While I am very well versed in complete breakdown on my Enfield, I can honestly say that anyone can do this with no prior skills or even breakdown knowledge. It really is that easy. This is a well made product and I can not wait to put my scope on it and sight her in. Since the 303 does not have massive recoil like say a 30-06, I believe once sighted in, it will stay that way. All this is of course dependent on the Quality of the scope you buy which I am in the process of doing. Have narrowed it down to either Bushnell or Nikon. These models primarily due to best bang for the buck while still maintaining a quality scope. If you are looking to convert your Enfield to scope mount, this is the way to go. You will love how it fits and installs.Advanced Technology Intl, LLC ENF-0141 .303 Enfield Scope Mount

303 Enfield Scope Mount - THANK YOU ATI!
Used my .303 British this hunting season for the first time with the new ATI stock and ATI scope base. The gun is quite a bit lighter than before and deadly accurate. I have used this rifle for 20 plus years of deer hunting and it was just getting too heavy to carry all day but that is no longer the case. It was extremely easy to assemble and the recoil is much less than with the original army stock. ATI Enfield #4 Mk 1 2 MK5 .303 Monte Carlo Gun StockI put an old 3-9X40 scope on it to find out how well it would perform before I splurged for a better scope. Now I am looking for a higher quality 3-9X50 scope. I have tried other scope bases on this rifle before but none of them held tight through the entire season. This base held tight and the scope stayed true through the entire season.THANK YOU ATI for giving me back MY OLD FAITHFUL and making it much better and easier to handle all day!!!!

Had to do alot of sanding for propper fit
I have a No.4 Mk.1 Lee Enfield rifle that I wanted to scope. I bought this mount because it replaces the rear sight, allowing me to go back to milsurp bone stock if I so choose. Installation was stupid easy. Just install 4 screws. Removing the original iron sight was more tricky.However...after installing the mount and rings and scope I noticed I ran out of scope MOA adjustment. I could not get bore sighted. Looking more closely I noticed mount did not fit right. Angle was wrong.I had interference in two places. First interference was on the top of the receiver of the rifle, right side, just behind the button to remove the bolt. Second interference was with the bolt itself. I had to sand the jeebers out of this thing to get propper fit. I sanded the bottom of the mount, both upper and lower surfaces of the groove. Once I finally got clearance, I then found out the bolt still would not fit because the two side screws that go into the rear sight were clamping the receiver around the bolt. So then I had to loosen the screws until I could insert and remove the bolt without issue.Point is this was not a slap it on, drop it in and tighten it down project. I had to do quite a bit of fitting and sanding to make this work on my rifle, which is plain Jane military surplus.I think I am good now, but have not had a chance to go to the range and sight it in. Feels sturdy but don't know how well it will hold zero yet. I may edit this review after I go to the range. If it does not hold zero, I will try thread locker on the screws. Other than a bunch of work to get the fit right, I like the look of it. I have high hopes. My last comment would be to get a regular eye relief scope for this mount on a No.4 Mk.1. I bought a long eye relief scope, and it works, but would not do that again if I had a do over.

Scope adapter
I ordered this scope adapter, sight unseen, because I didn't want to wait in the long lines at the gun shows. The device itself fits perfectly over the loading bridge of the No. 4 Mark I but calls for the removal of the rear peep sight. Mine still had the small pin in the larger retaining pin. I chose not to remove this pin and modified the adapter to fit in front of the peep sight. I used a black tie-wrap to secure the adapter. This seems to be a perfect fit.

Detailed review
Great seller, fast shipping and keeps you informed. Responds in a day or so.The product was purchased for SMLE no.4 mark 1.Directions in box suck but videos online are well done. You will definitely have to modify the lower right hand side of this mount with dremel tool or bench grinder to get it to sit in spec. No much but a small trough must be cut to allow right side sight protection tang to not interfere with a flush mount and have the same height across mount. If this is not done your scope will be almost 1/16 out of level. Most scope optical tubes can be adjusted to compensate but I'm annoying like that. Also there is a gap when the back portion of the mount where it is installed between the two rear sight mounts. The book claimed this is for windage adjustment. May be true however if you over tighten the two screws it pulls in the sight mounts and will catch your bolt about half way and will not allow you to remove the bolt. This step must be done carefully. To much torque here can hurt your enfield. The gap should not be there the windage adjustment is impossible to do unless you have a decent bore lazer and that's not easy in 303.Now the most important thing, use blue lock tight on everything. Or you will waste a lot of ammo sighting it in.I think after you work the kinks out I mentioned. You will be pleased.
