Open voltage suggests it should provide some input to the battery yet it really doesn't.Waste of time. Look elsewhere.

Bought unit for my Mother, who can't manage removal and insertion of lighter unit due to weak wrists.I have inserted a switch into power cable, in order to interrupt power supply when engine running.Simple solution that could be incorporated in design.Otherwise, would give 5 stars.
