The second one of this model that I've bought, and described by the person I gave it to as 'the proper Rolls Royce of peppercorn grinders. It works better and more precisely than any other I have or ever have had.' Given its size, it also holds a lot of pepper. Recommended.

Works well and produces good quantity
Great mill - quickly produces plenty of fresh ground pepper, which is handy if you're cooking and don't want to waste a minute grinding away on a cheap grinder.

Very good but........
Very good as expected. However, no good for pink peppercorns that tend to hold more moisture. The grinder gets clogged. Great for standard black peppercorns though.

Can't stop looking at that ugly head screw.
Not sold the same product pictured. The one shown has a nice brass cap on top whereas these have some cheaply made, badly cast piece of metal which has a cheap looking logo on top. It is a huge distraction from the rest of the mill which is actually made from a nice piece of wood, the grinding mechanism is still top quality, but that head screw just sickens me. Nice way for them to save 50p a unit I suppose.

Love Peugeot pepper mills!
After getting our first Peugeot pepper mill many years ago I knew we'd never buy another kind. Have tried both the 9" and 12" and find that because the round head is scaled to the size of mill, the 12" works better as we are tall and gave larger hands. With the smaller head, we accidentally turn the coarseness adjuster at the same time as trying to grind the pepper so it doesn't work as well.
