Needed a replacement copy ...
My original copy had gone missing and my grandchildren wanted to watch the film having just read the book, so I had to get a replacement to go with the rest of the films in my collection. Happy with purchase.

Don't 'know why they had to make it different for U.S. Audiences! Great film even after 20 years!
Watched the film again - it's the 20th year. It stands up. Timeless. I loved watching it again... only this time, it wasn't the "sorcerer's" stone, but the "philosopher's" stone! The extras here were great to watch... got to see how the actors/actresses remembered the first film looking back at around what appeared to be the time of the 7th film. Yes indeed - it stands up over time.

disappointed
I ordered this after reading somewhere that it includes the Extended Version, but it does NOT! It's the sole purpose for me buying it. I had bought the blu-ray for The Chamber of Secrets and it includes the Theatrical, and Extended Version, so I don't understand why this doesn't. Guess I'll just sell it.

Fun family film!
Fun watching it with the kids when they discovered they were watching the "Philosopher's Stone" and not the "Sorcerer's Stone". It was like they were watching a new film.
