Unlike plastic ones this doesn't hold on to odor. It's not small, or comes in weird shapes or the back/ sides are too low. This one is all we need for our 2 cats. Tiny is huge and he fits purrrfect and even has more room than we thought. Littles, even though she's not little has enough room for her as well. Both large cats, and can do there business with ease the litter control is actually far better than we expected.You spend more money on multiple plastic options and try to convince yourself that they are better. I'll be the first to admit it.. Eventually you will break down and get one.. I know this because I to, was in denial. Yo when you go to clean it out, and you rinse it out. You don't smell cat box steam. Honestly I think it has cut down on odor 10 fold. We are daily scoopers, but in the plastic ones you still got the smell, I can tell you this cat box is incredible.I just wish the scoop was metal and bigger. Otherwise, it's epic. Cats are happy and not tossing litter everywhere.

I bought this because my plastic box was getting scratched up looked dirty all the time. Right out of the box both cats used it immediately. It was very easy to clean.On the plus side the latches keep the top on well. The tall sides keep the litter in when they dig wildly. Their stuff doesn't stick as much.To be considered:1- It is huge, much larger than I expected, and takes a lot of litter to use. I thought the old one was extra-large.2- My cats like to exit over the side and skip the mat, which means tracking is not eliminated.3 - It was not cheap.4 - The included mat has very sharp points and is not really useable. It would discourage my cats.Overall, I'm going to say we're very satisfied. It is worth the money. But one is enough.The next purchase will be a smaller steel tray that will fit in an enclosure.

The media could not be loaded.  This is the best litter box we have ever owned. It was easy to put together and the top and pan are secure enough that they don't come apart while they use it. It looks nice enough that we don't worry about anyone seeing it.Our boy is a 22-pound solid chunk of a cat and he had enough room to move around and do his business comfortably. Our girl is petite and loves it as well.The stainless steel pan is the best part, nothing sticks and makes scooping a breeze. We use a regular clay clumping litter and there is no smell. If you have a large cat or multiple ones this is a great choice for you.Best feature - super easy to clean! WOOHOO!!

While the stainless steel is definitely scratch proof and easier to prevent bacteria from hiding in the nooks and crannies, the plastic lid kind of backfires this feature as my cat is still going to scratch the plastic lid. Other than that it’s really easy to put together and really easy to clean

Looks clean & neat. Appears to be well made. Plastic lid is made of thick material. If my cat makes the switch without issue, I’ll be thrilled with it!

I have a cat that loves spazzing out everytime he uses the litterbox, resulting in litter flying everywhere. Bought this and it definitely helps. The size is great, it's huge, it makes my other steel litter box tiny in comparison. Really love that it comes with a scooper and scooper holder and a little step/litter catcher. I should've bought this from the start.

Stainless steel reduces odor, and is much easier to keep clean. The only negative is that it is pretty heavy.

Replaced an automatic box which still required a lot of scooping. Good quality and a lot less noise,
