Superb and Exceedingly Healthy Pancake, Flapjack, and Waffle Mix.
This mix is a whole grain, high fiber, and extremely healthy mix for pancakes, or other similar items. I make this using 3/4 cup of organic egg whites, and 1/4 cup of water. This mixture produces a lovely, light, and exquisite tasting grain pancake. I also sprinkle each pancake with a small amount of organic, thick-cut oatmeal, as it is baking in the pan, pressing slightly with a spatula to ensure that the oatmeal adheres to the pancake. This addition gives a lovely and tasty roasted nut flavor, which very much enhances the flavor of the e tire pancake / flapjack / crรชpe .I use a calorie-free pancake syrup with these, a truly heavenly concoction. The syrup is unnecessary, as I find myself taking the leftovers to work in a small container. If you enjoy the rich and roasted flavor of whole grains, this is the mix for you. If you enjoy feeding your body with a healthy blend of organic, and. non-GMO pancakes, this is your food of choice.Kodiak has a lovely selection of varied and tasteful healthy products, of which this particular mix is but one. Try this mix, vary the ingredients, try a topping of organic, nom-GMO yogurt, sprinkled with just a tad of date sugar, and bits of roasted almonds......whatever you do, these are extremely tasty, and thoroughly enjoyable pancakes. It is all the better that this yummy food is very healthy (Just do not reveal that bit of information to those of your acquaintances that harbor deeply-felt opinions concerning foods that are "good for them"!). I heartily recommend this mix as a very worthwhile addition to your eating scheme, try it.......you will not regret your choice.

Only 3g sugar per serving, and the taste is great
We have been using this mix to make rather big Belgian waffles. We've been preparing the mix using just water, and they turn out fabulous, tasty and fluffy every time. I imagine if you made them with eggs and milk, they would taste like Denny's.Love the 14g of protein, 5g of fibre, and only 3g of sugar per half cup. In our waffle maker*, 1/2 cup of mix makes one roughly 8" Belgian waffle. Just 3g of sugar for breakfast? That's stellar. They are great on their own, with a bit of butter, or jam, or tried-and-true Canadian maple syrup. We also add a teaspoon of chia seeds to the batter before cooking, for extra protein, calcium and fibre. There are 3 pouches in the box, 680g each. They lasted 2 of us one month, making waffles at least 4x a week.I do agree with others that the price is a bit steep, but this isn't your grocery store pancake & waffle mix. The ingredients speak for themselves.* Here's the waffle maker we use and love:Oster Belgian Waffle Maker, Stainless Steel - CKSTWF2000-033https://www.amazon.ca/Oster-Belgian-Waffle-Maker-Stainless/dp/B00DI1HIRG/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=waffle+maker&qid=1588986949&sr=8-12Hope this has been helpful! Both pancakes and waffles turn out pretty well with good texture with water
Kodiak cakes have been a staple in my diet for the past couple of months in terms of nutrition, convenience, and flavor. In terms of macros, the higher protein and fiber content fits my diet during bulking and cutting phases, and you can always get more protein by either adding milk, eggs, or even a scoop of protein powder. Both pancakes and waffles turn out pretty well with good texture with water, but I found that the addition of an egg to add to the fluffiness of the final pancake. I appreciate the higher quality of ingredients and whole wheat to decrease the glycemic index, which in addition to the amount of fiber allows me to be fuller for longer. The convenience factor of these mixes is also a huge plus as a busy student that needs to throw together some breakfast or a pre-workout meal really quickly and leave. One issue with these mixes on Amazon, however, is that you can purchase these boxes at a cheaper rate at Costco. The prices listed on amazon also tend to fluctuate +/- $6, and you could probably get them cheaper at Target as well when these prices reach their highs.
